Guided by constructivism,discovery learning theory and cognitive development theory,the problem-based teaching,different from the traditional passive learning,refers to the method in which students are guided by teachers to learn through spontaneous self-reflections and coordination,to vigorously analyze and solve problems,and to obtain the final solution through deep analysis.It was first put forward in the teaching of foreign clinical medicine.As it was introduced in the domestic environment,a variety of problems and difficulties occur in the process of application and subject integration.This paper mainly illustrates the inadequacies in applying the problem-based teaching to the ideological and political course in high school by means of literature research,questionnaire survey,case analysis and interview.Some inadequacies include ineffective questions,deficiency in catching up class rhythm,poor teaching effect,and etc.In order to solve the problems above,the teaching recommendations are put forward based on the New Curriculum Standard of Political Course for High School(2017version,revised in 2020),to ameliorate the process of applying the problem-based teaching method in the high school ideological and Political course teaching.For example,the preview is added prior to class,which aims to be thought-provoking for students;the scenario is created to make students relate to problems,which combines the scientific discovery and problem-solving teaching together;high-quality procedural questions should be raised,the shift should be made from daily questions to thought cultivation;in the analyzing problems,it is necessary to give priority to students and guide them to think independently from the superficial to deep level;in the problem-solving stage,it is necessary to cultivate the cooperation and communicative ability of students while achieving the teaching objectives;in the summary and evaluation stage,the standard answer from teachers should be given so as to establish a benchmark for how students think and answer questions.This paper adopts the principles of question situation,active inquiry,combination of learning and teaching,utilizes the situation creation teaching strategy and establishes relation with teaching and subject knowledge.Furthermore,students are prioritized as the main body of learning,aiming to improve their essential ability in acquiring knowledge teaching strategy.Through the specific practical teaching analysis,the improved problem-based teaching method can significantly improve the students' interest of the ideological and political course;it can significantly improve the students' self-confidence and enhance their understanding of the course content.
