In today's society,depression is still a major mental health problem.High school students are in a critical period of psychological development.The rapid development of body and mind and the pressure of study and life also make high school students' depression more frequent.Therefore,the research on their depression is of great significance.High school students tend to adopt different coping styles when they encounter problems and troubles,and their social support is different,and different social support has an impact on coping styles.Therefore,the research on the relationship among coping style,social support(objective support,subjective support,utilization of support)and depression has theoretical and practical significance.This study studies the relationship among coping style,social support(objective support,subjective support,utilization of support)and depression from the perspective of social exchange theory and depression despair theory,and discusses how coping style affects the depression mood of high school students through social support,Thus,it provides some basis and theoretical reference for the mental health growth of high school students.In this study,the Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS)and Simple Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ)were used to investigate 666 students from two high schools in Heze City,Shandong Province.The data of valid questionnaires were analyzed by SPSS 22.The following conclusions are drawn:1.In the aspect of coping style,the score of positive coping style is higher than that of negative coping style.Through the analysis of various demographic variables,it is found that there are significant differences in the coping styles of senior high school students in grade,family economic level,academic performance and family atmosphere.2.In terms of depression,the proportion of high school students with depression is as high as 63%,and the average depression score of high school students reaches the level of mild depression,moderate depression is as high as 24.52%.Through the analysis of demographic variables,it is found that there are significant differences in ethnic group,family economic status,parents' marital status,academic performance and family atmosphere.3.In terms of social support,high school students tend to use subjective support.Through the analysis of the demographic variables,we find that there are significant differences in parents' educational level,family economic level,whether they are the only child,academic performance and family atmosphere.4.There is a significant negative correlation between positive coping style and depression,and a significant positive correlation between negative coping style and depression;There is a significant negative correlation between objective support and depression,between subjective support and depression,and between support utilization and depression;There is a significant positive correlation between high school students' positive coping style and objective support,between high school students' positive coping style and subjective support,and between high school students' positive coping style and the utilization of support.5.The three dimensions of social support,objective support,subjective support and the utilization of support,all play a partial mediating role in the impact of positive coping style on depression.
