What is an important part of middle school education is the cultivation of middle school students' mental characters devoted to the development of positive,optimistic and healthy mental state and inspiration of inner strength and potentials,through which middle school students can be guided to experience positive feelings and emotions,deal with people and matters positively and optimistically,forming the positive personality and eventually acquire a positive psychological quality.Ideological and political education shares many common points with the cultivation of middle school students' positive psychological quality.From the perspective of ideological and political education,a research focused on the combination of ideological and political education with positive psychological quality cultivation and its role in promoting middle school students' positive psychological quality was conducted.In this paper,the author pointed at what positive psychological quality should the middle school students' possess and provided some effective suggestions on how to accomplish it from the practical level in order to improve the effectiveness of the ideological and political education as well as promoting the middle school students' comprehensive development.In general,this paper can be divided into four major parts:The relevant theories of positive psychological quality and ideological and political education were briefly introduced from the perspectives of the concept and prospects of positive psychological quality and the connotation,fundamental objectives and psychological quality requirements of the ideological and political education.Besides,centering on the role in ideological and political education effectiveness and middle school students' healthy psychological development,the significance of the combination of positive psychological quality cultivation and ideological and political education were explored.With the reference to Marx's theory of human's all-round development and Christopher Peterson's theory of positive psychological quality,the theoretical basis for the cultivation of middle school students' positive psychological quality was discussed as well.The necessity and feasibility of the cultivation of middle school students' positive psychological quality was researched from the perspective of ideological and political education.The paper clarify the necessity of middle school students' positive psychological quality from three angles of the individual development,actual needs and core competences of middle school students were chosen.On the basis of it,the feasibility was verified from two aspects of middle school education and national policy on emphasizing the positive psychological cultivation which share many common points in cultivation goal,complementary methods and interlinked content.Representation and cause analysis of middle school students' psychological quality were carried out mainly using the questionnaire survey method.By stating the specific items of the positive psychological quality that middle school students are supposed to have and the representation of the negative ones,a sharp contrast is formed,and then further analyzing the causes of negative psychological quality from four angles of ideological and political educator,degree of emphasis on ideological and political education,educational environment and education methods.Cultivation strategies of middle school students' positive psychological quality were explored from the perspective of ideological and political education.As the focus of this paper,it discussed how to cultivate the middle school students' positive psychological quality,combined with the reasons of middle school students' negative qualities,mainly from the practical level,from the perspectives of construction of ideological and political educators,specific ways of middle school education,cultural atmosphere building and innovative education methods.
