Successful education is an outcome of multiple factors,of which the most important is good communication between teachers and students.Middle school students are in their rebellious period.Middle school teachers by making use of efficient communication management strategies can help students address many problems arising from their learning and growth process.In this paper,literature research method,questionnaire and case interview are used to study the communication status between middle school teachers and students.This is for the purpose of giving some theoretical and practical guidance for communication management strategies between students and teachers.Based on a thorough review of literatures at home and abroad,the author designs and compiles two versions of questionnaire,“Questionnaire on Middle School Teachers and Students”,one targeted at teachers and the other at students.Meanwhile,an interview outline is drawn up.346 students and 315 teachers from 8 middle schools of H City are chosen as research objects.This paper uses SPSS22.0 to statistically analyze the communication status between middle school teachers from three dimensions of the questionnaire for students,including willingness to communicate,communication efficiency,and communication frequency,and from three dimensions of the questionnaire for teachers,including willingness to communicate and communication efficiency.Analysis sheds light on the following questions prevailing in management of communication between middle school teachers and students,chiefly,students' weak awareness of communication,superficial communication between teachers and students,teachers' differentiated treatment of students,lack of training on communication at school,and lack of a communication environment at home.In response to the aforesaid problems,this paper analyzes the causes behind these problems,namely pressure of enrolment facing middle school students,middle school teachers' overemphasis on teaching,unreasonable resource allocation at school,incomplete communication between parents and school.After that,some strategies which aim at improving communication management between middle school teachers and students are proposed.First,students' communication psychology should be established and students' communication ability be developed to give students' reasonable assessment.Second,teachers' communication concepts can be cultivated and communication resources between teachers and students should be introduced to develop multiple communication curriculums and optimize teachers' assessment system.Third,traditional concepts of school running should be improved and assessment work should be supported.Fourth,communication between the family and the school should be enhanced to create a favorable family communication atmosphere.
