With the development of social economy, the increasing mobility of population, the relocation of home address, the implementation of the Combing School Policy and parents' pursuit of high-quality educational resources, transferring to another school has gradually become common. For transfer students themselves, they are "new participants" of the new school. They need to learn the code of conduct of the new school and understand the culture of their peers in order to integrate into the collective. For the teachers and students of the school, the appearance of transfer students may change the original communication ecology of the class,so the teachers and students will make corresponding responses to the appearance of transfer students.Transfer students face school adjustment problems when they move to a new school. As an important aspect of school adaptation, peer relationship adaptation will affect children's academic performance, moral behavor and character traits. However, parents and teachers often focus transfer students' school adaptation on academic adaptation, while ignore the peer relationship adaptation. To solve the problem that peer relationship maladaptation of transfer students can hinder their development, this study further focuses on the peer relationship adaptation of transfer students of the primary schools in order to learn the process and state of peer relationship adaption of transfer students of the primary schools, analyze the influence of peer relationship adaptation on primary school transfer students, reveal the factors that hinder the peer relationship adaptation of primary school transfer students, and discuss the strategies to promote the peer relationship adaptation of primary school transfer students. This study adopts the qualitative research method, taking the transfer students of X Primary School as an example to present the different states of the peer relationship adaptation of the transfer students of primary school through the data collection method basing on interview and observation.Longitudinally, the peer relationship adaptation of primary school transfer students can be divided into three stages: tension stage, adjustment stage and adaptation stage.Horizontically, the peer relationship adaptation of primary school transfer students can be divided into three categories:good adaptation, general adaptation and maladaptation.Furtherly, the general adaptation transfer students can be divided into two types: shy and passive. The maladaptive transfer students can be divided into two types: weak interaction and avoidance. The study shows that the peer adaptation of transfer students is influenced by transfer students themselves, their parents and teachers, and in return the peer adaptation will have an impact on transfer students' academic performance, morality and character. Therefore, families, schools and transfer students should adopt relevant strategies to advance transfer students to achieve good peer adaptation and try to solve the problem that the maladaptation of peer relationship has a negative impact on the development of transfer students.
