Research On The Development And Operation Of Parent Volunteer Organizations

Emphasis on the cooperation of school education and family education and the establishment of home-school co-education mechanism is a very concerned issue in the process of promoting the modernization of education in China at present.In recent years,schools all over the country are vigorously carrying out home-school cooperation,but in the face of changing practical needs,the traditional way of home-school cooperation shows certain limitations.As a new form of home-school cooperation,parent volunteer organization has a broad mass base.It can not only carry forward the volunteer spirit of parent volunteers,enhance the communication and trust between parents and schools,strengthen the in-depth cooperation between parents and schools,but also be a major innovation for the school management mechanism.The author took the opportunity of attending the "Parent Volunteer Seminar" in District H to have an in-depth understanding of the overall operation of parent volunteer organizations in various schools at all levels in District H,and selected A private art kindergarten in District H(referred to as "Garden A" in the paper)for case study.This research adopts qualitative research method,through in-depth interviews and retrospective data analysis methods,aimed at understanding H area A kindergarten parents generation and development of volunteer organization and operation status quo,and sums up the parent volunteer organizations according to the institute for data has been achieved in the process of development and operation as well as the existing problems,and finally from the schools,government and society level strategic Suggestions are put forward.The results show that Park A has accumulated some experience in the development and operation of the parent volunteer organization :(1)It attaches great importance to family education;(2)Actively explore new ways of home-school cooperation;(3)Clear and clear organizational structure;(4)Rich activities;(5)The organization and operation process is relatively complete and has begun to achieve results.Although Park A has accumulated some experience in the development and operation of the parent volunteer organization,it also has the following problems :(1)The responsibilities and rights of the parent volunteer are not clear;(2)Lack of volunteer service atmosphere for parents;(3)Parent volunteer organizations have weak strength and lack of resources;(4)Lack of institutional guarantee for the operation of parent volunteer organizations;(5)Parent volunteer organizations lack legal protection.In view of the above problems,this study puts forward corresponding suggestions from the school,government and society levels.Firstly,from the school level,schools should formulate the charter of parent volunteer organization to clarify the responsibilities and rights.Establish and perfect the operation system of parent volunteer organization;Join a coalition of local volunteer organizations to share resources.Secondly,from the government level,the government should speed up the introduction of voluntary service law.Finally,from the social level,the whole society should strengthen publicity and guidance to create a strong atmosphere of volunteer service.Due to objective factors such as epidemic prevention and control and the limitation of the author's personal ability,this study still has some shortcomings.Through this study,the author believes that the research on parent volunteer organizations in China still needs to be deeply explored.I believe that with the continuous innovation of the school co-education mechanism in China and the continuous and in-depth research by scholars,the parent volunteer organization will surely move towards the path of institutionalized development.
