Social networking sites have become an important tool for individuals to obtain information and conduct social interactions.Studies have shown that there is a close relationship between the use of passive social networking sites and the individual's depression level.In recent years,my country has attached great importance to the education of secondary vocational and technical schools and has cultivated a group of technical personnel to meet the needs of all walks of life.The mental health problems of this group of secondary vocational students and how to promote their good mental health have aroused the attention of social and mental health workers.The purpose of this research is to investigate the basic characteristics of passive social networking site use,upward social comparison,psychological capital,and depression(emotion or mood)of secondary vocational students,and to explore the relationship between passive social networking site use and depression in secondary vocational school students in my country,and the upward trend The mediating role of social comparison and the moderating role of psychological capital between upward social comparison and depression.This study uses the convenience sampling method to select secondary vocational students(1192 in total,15 years old)who have experience in using social networking sites(QQ space,Weibo,and We Chat Moments)in a secondary vocational technical school in Nanjing and Wuxi,Jiangsu Province.Between the age of-19,boys accounted for 47.1% and girls accounted for 52.9%.)A questionnaire survey was conducted,220 invalid questionnaires were eliminated,972 valid questionnaires were obtained,and the response rate of questionnaires was 81.54%.Using t-test,correlation analysis,analysis of variance,using PROCESS to establish a regulated intermediary and other methods,the characteristics and relationships of passive social networking site use,upward social comparison,psychological capital,and depression(emotion or mood)are analyzed.Get the following results:(1)The use of passive social networking sites has a positive predictive effect on the depression of secondary vocational students;(2)Upward social comparison plays a mediating role in the relationship between passive social networking site use and depression in secondary vocational students;(3)Psychological capital plays a moderating role in the relationship between upward social comparison and depression of secondary vocational students.To sum up,this study draws the following conclusions: Passive social networking sites use this "network diving" mode of use will significantly affect the depression level of secondary vocational students.Specifically,the higher the frequency of use of passive social networking sites,the higher the individual's depression level.Moreover,the use of passive social networking sites indirectly increases the degree of depression of individuals through upward social comparison.However,as a positive psychological energy,psychological capital can play a certain moderating role between upward social comparison and depression of secondary vocational students,and the mediating effect of upward social comparison(between passive social networking sites and depression)on psychological capital The lower group of secondary vocational students has a greater impact.This study explains the internal mechanism affecting the depression of secondary vocational students and provides a basis for reducing depression of secondary vocational students.At the same time,the importance of promoting the positive development of the psychological capital of secondary vocational students is emphasized,and on the basis of reducing the use of passive social networks as much as possible,the students should be guided to make correct upward social comparisons,thereby reducing depression and promoting the development of secondary vocational students.The development of mental health is of great significance.
