The age of junior high school students in our country is the period of high incidence and first episode of self-injury.As a non-adaptive coping method,self-injury not only directly harms the body of adolescents, but also has a negative impact on the psychological development of adolescents.Previous studies mostly investigated the influence of emotional factors on self-injury from the perspective of emotional management, and seldom explored other theoretical models of self-injury,and there were few studies on the mechanism of parental psychological control on self-injury.Therefore,this study uses the interpersonal boundary model of self-injury to explore the specific mechanism that affects the self-injury of junior high school students.Study 1 adopts the method of group testing, using the "Adolescent Self-Injury Questionnaire","Adolescent Separation-Individualization Scale",and "Parental psychological Control Questionnaire" as measurement tools to survey 1169 junior high school students to examine the relationship between their parents' psychological control,separation-individualization and self-injury,to examine the mediating role of separation-individualization between parental psychological control and self-injury.Study 2 uses a case intervention study to verify the practical effect of Study 1.In order to reduce or even eliminate the self-injury of a junior high school student, the separation individualization and the psychological control of his mother were intervened. The research finds that:(1)The incidence of self-injury among junior high school students is 51.7%;(2)There are significant grade differences in parental psychological control and guilt-inducing scores, among which the scores of the first grade students are significantly higher than those of the second and third grades; The self-centered has significant differences in grade and gender. In terms of grade, the self-centered scores of second-year students are significantly higher than those of first-year students. In terms of gender, the scores of involvement anxiety of girls are significantly higher than those of boys;(3)There is a significant positive correlation between parental psychological control and negative separation-individualization and self-injury.Negative separation-individualization and self-injury have a significant positive correlation.Parental psychological control and negative separation-individualization can significantly predict the self-injury of junior high school students;(4)Negative separation-individualization plays a part of mediating role between parental psychological control and self-injury;(5)By intervening in the separationindividualization of junior high school students and their mother's psychological control, the self-injury of junior high school students can be reduced. In the process of exploring the mechanism of self-injury of junior high school students from the aspects of parental rearing style and individual factors,it is found that self-injury is a common phenomenon among junior high school students. As a risk factor for self-injury,parental psychological control can directly lead to self-injury,or it can cause junior high school students to form a negative separation-individualization,and then have an impact on self-injury.Junior high school students who feel a higher level of parental psychological control have the higher the level of negative separationindividualization, and thus they may have more self-injury.In practical applications, the self-injury of junior high school students can be reduced through the intervention of separation-individualization of junior high school students and their parents' psychological control.
