At present,the author's school is limited by the pursuit of enrollment rate,most teachers in the middle school physics teaching process using conventional exam-oriented teaching methods.As a result,students can only understand the laws of physical concepts in a formal way,and can only solve the simple situation problems due to the training of questions,but are at a loss for the complex situation problems.As a result,students are afraid of learning physics and lack of interest in learning physics.In this paper,the development of middle school students physics core literacy as the education goal,to understand the current middle school physics teaching research dynamics,in order to solve the middle school physics teaching problems,the application of modern large unit teaching general theory,determine the subject research.This paper has done the following work in theory: according to the general theory of unit teaching,analyzes the characteristics of middle school physics unit teaching,embodies the organization structure and concrete operation steps of middle school physics unit teaching,defines the teaching content of "middle school physics core accomplishment" and "buoyancy" unit.Concretely,the teaching design of "buoyancy" unit is carried out,which shows the specific teaching design of several class hours.In order to test the effectiveness of "buoyancy" teaching design,an educational experiment was carried out according to the principle of control variable method.Through the academic measurement and the experimental class students' learning self-feeling survey of the two dimensions of measurement and statistical analysis.The conclusions are as follows:1.Students in the experimental class have a thorough understanding of the concepts and laws of "buoyancy" and their correlation with each other.2.The problem-solving ability of the students in the experimental class is better than that of the control class,especially for the new situation problems.3.After the study of "buoyancy",most students in the experimental class felt that "buoyancy" was not difficult to learn,close to life and interesting,indicating that it effectively stimulated students' interest in "buoyancy" learning.In a word,the effect of "buoyancy" unit teaching is better than conventional teaching,indicating that the teaching objectives have been effectively achieved,and the students' core qualities of physics in junior middle school have been effectively cultivated and developed.At the end of the paper,the deficiencies of this research are discussed.
