With the continuous development of globalization,China's requirements for the quality-oriented education has also been higher.Under the purpose of cultivating students with talents of international vision,innovation ability,cooperation and communication ability,leadership ability and other all-round development.Different types of international courses are blooming in China.Among them,IBDP course is popular because of its comprehensive curriculum requirements.In addition to knowledge assessment,its subject evaluation also requires students to complete a related paper independently to examine their inquiry ability.This paper aims to take the teaching of IBDP mathematics as an example,take the new syllabus and Oxford Edition textbooks in 2018 as the carrier to study the effect of different inquiry teaching strategies on the improvement of students' inquiry ability,which has a good significance for improving the comprehensive mathematical literacy of students and improving teachers' teaching strategies.First of all,this paper describes the research background,content and methods of the project.Through consulting a large number of domestic and foreign literature,it defines the concept of inquiry teaching,expounds the theoretical basis of inquiry teaching,and analyzes the research status of inquiry teaching mode and IBDP mathematics.At the same time,the curriculum system,evaluation mode and education concept of new syllabus and teaching materials of IBDP analyzed.Secondly,on the basis of theoretical analysis,four kinds of inquiry teaching strategies are formulated,and the effect of combination of different inquiry teaching modes on students' mathematical inquiry ability is studied through the implementation of teaching strategies for one year in a senior high school of Shanghai.The conclusions are summarized as follows:1.The overall level of students' inquiry ability has been enhanced under four teaching strategies,among which the level of conjecture hypothesis and mathematical expression ability has been improved most significantly,and the ability to raise questions and reflect and evaluate has been improved to a certain extent.In comparison,the ability to establish mathematical models has been improved less,and the ability to explain conclusions is weak.2.Each teaching strategy pays different attention to the improvement of different inquiry ability.The ability to ask questions,guess and hypothesis,reflection and evaluation ability are effectively improved under different teaching strategies,but different teaching strategies reflect the weakness of explaining and improving the conclusions in the model building ability.The significant improvement of mathematics communication and expression ability benefits from the more opportunities for students to express themselves under the inquiry teaching strategy.Finally,in the chapter of research conclusion and reflection,it puts forward the deficiencies in the research and reflection suggestions in teaching...
