With the innovation of fundamental education being deepened in our country, more value is placed on cultivating students' inquiry ability in teaching step by step. Research on the cultivation of inquiry ability in teaching in high school has special significance.In this thesis, firstly, we present a summary on the original resource of mathematical inquiry ability and the viewpoints of inquiry in the modern educational concept. Secondly, the frame of the mathematical inquiry ability and the cultivated approaches in high school daily teaching are discussed respectively. And we investigate the cultivation of high school mathematical inquiry ability through instances and experiments as well.It's proposed in this thesis that the students' mathematical inquiry ability means their personal characteristics have been accumulated and come up in their mind during the period when they have been looking for, doubting and verifying something. The characteristics cover the abilities of acute observation, appropriate questioning, individual thought and opinions.The Double-base Teaching is one of traditional features in the mathematics' education in our country, which focuses on how to cultivate the students' inquiry ability in the daily teaching. First of all, from the beginning of the double-base teaching, we pay attention to the original knowledge during the teaching of concepts, definitions, theorems and formulas. In the case of exercising lessons, we conclude, summarize and train the student's emanative ideations. In the review lessons, we care about the interconnections of various knowledge. Next, because theopen subjects have the better functions to be researched, we create them in the daily teaching. It is also a very important approach to cultivate the students' inquiry ability.After the approaches to cultivation of inquiry ability in high school daily teaching are discussed, we present a rather detailed instance on the inequality teaching for illuminating the approaches of inquiry ability cultivation more clearly. We verify and perfect the approaches of inquiry ability cultivation through experiments. Of course more researches on the experiment's conclusion are needed to optimize the approaches.The purpose of this thesis is to cultivate the students' mathematical inquiry ability thereby strengthen the students' scientific quality through the teaching practice from daily teaching.
