Deviance is both an ancient and modern social issue. As the society constantly produces a normative system that maintains its own operation, deviant behaviors that break and challenge norms continue to emerge.Junior high school students are at the fifth stage of the personality development stages, the stage of identity versus role confusion. They have relatively strong reverse psychology and rebellious behaviors, forming a group with high incidence of deviant behavior. The “deviant behavior of junior high school students” refers to any thoughts or behaviors judged by other members of society as violating social or school norms and values, and hindering their personal growth and development.Although domestic and foreign studies have successively discovered the influence of objective factors such as society, family, school, and peer groups on junior high school students' deviant behaviors, the influence mechanism of parental involvement and school integration on junior high school students' deviant behaviors is not yet fully clear, and the influence and mechanism of family socioeconomic status(class factors)on deviant behaviors have not yet been revealed and whether the deviant peer affiliation plays a mediating or moderating role remains to be discussed. In view of this situation, this research, taking the 2014-2015 data released by the China Education Panel Survey as the analysis object, lists family socioeconomic status, parental supervision,parent-child communication, school integration, deviant peers, and junior high school students' deviant behaviors as the core latent variables on the basis of the theory of deviant sociology and existing research.Based on the proposed hypothesis and the set model, this research adopts AMOS23 to fit the structural equation model so as to verify and analyze the influence of family and school-related factors on junior high school students' deviant behaviors, influence mechanisms and group differences. The main conclusions of the research are as follows:(1)Overall,the deviant behaviors of junior high school students are relatively few,but there are significant gender differences and urban-rural differences.Although deviant peer affiliation exists among their peer groups, the deviant behaviors are not serious.Among the family factors, the degree of parental supervision and parent-child communication is relatively high;among the school-related factors, the overall school integration of junior high school students is good.Additionally, the indicators of family socioeconomic status reflect that the junior high school students' families tend to be in the middle in terms of economic income, parents' occupation and education level.(2)Family socioeconomic status has a significant positive impact on parental supervision,parent-child communication and school integration, and also a significant negative impact on junior high school students' deviant behaviors and deviant peer affiliation;parental supervision,parent-child communication, and school integration has a significant negative impact on junior high school students' deviant behaviors as well as their deviant peer affiliation;deviant peer affiliation has a significant positive impact on junior high school students' deviant behaviors.(3)The partial mediating effect played by the deviant peer between parental supervision,parent-child communication and school integration and junior high school students' deviant behaviors is significant.Forming the following action paths:parental supervision?deviant peers?junior high school students' deviant behaviors;parent-child communication ? deviant peers ? junior high school students' deviant behaviors;school integration? deviant peers?junior high school students' deviant behavior.(4)There are group differences in the influence mechanism of parent involvement, school integration and deviant peer affiliation on junior middle school students' deviant behaviors. In the cross-gender group comparison, parental supervision has a more significant effect on reducing the deviant behaviors of male students.Parental supervision and school integration have a more significant effect on the deviant peer affiliation of male students, and the adverse effects of deviant peer affiliation on them are significantly higher than those on female students. In the cross-household registration group comparison, parental supervision has a greater effect on rural junior high school students, the deviant peer affiliation of whom is significantly higher than that of their urban counterparts.(5)The chain mediating effect between family socioeconomic status and junior high school students' deviant behaviors is significant.Forming the following action paths: family socioeconomic status ? parental supervision ? deviant peers ? junior high school students' deviant behaviors;family socioeconomic status?parent-child communication ? deviant peers ? junior high school students' deviant behaviors;family socioeconomic status?school integration?deviant peers?junior high school students' deviant behaviors. The above research results,on the one hand, confirm the mediating effect of deviant peer affiliation on the influence of parental involvement and school integration on junior high school students' deviant behaviors, and on the other, discover the influence of family socioeconomic status on junior high school students' deviant behaviors through two pathways of “capital to habitus” and “cultural arbitrariness”.The practical suggestions brought by the above research conclusions are: firstly, promoting parental involvement through institutionalized home-school cooperation;secondly, creating a supportive class atmosphere through jigsaw teaching strategy;and thirdly, building a systematic social support system through home-school cooperation.
