Multi-age education in this study refers to a preschool education model in which children of different ages and levels of development are arranged to study and live together in the same environment.In the Multi-age class,children's communication is more multidimensional than that of the same age class.They not only communicate with children of the same age,but also with children of different ages.Multi-age education provides children with richer development space,but also brings some challenges to children.It is normal for children of different ages to study and live together and have conflicts.At the same time,peer conflicts of children of different ages are of great value to the development of children.Learning to deal with these conflicts is also of great significance to the professional growth of Multi-age teachers.Based on this,this study focuses on the peer conflict behavior of children of different ages in Multi-age education.Four classes of Q Kindergarten in Nanjing were opted as the research objects.Through observation and collection of peer conflict incidents of children of different ages,supplemented by interviews with eight teachers of the four classes,the research data are obtained,and the research content of this paper is obtained through coding analysis of these data.The study conducted quantitative analysis from six aspects of subjects,forms,background,causes,resolution and emotional experience of children of different ages in peer conflict,so as to obtain behavioral characteristics of children of different ages in peer conflict.Then a case study on the causes and solutions of peer conflicts among children of different ages is carried out,and it is concluded that the causes of conflicts among children of different ages can be divided into two aspects: self-demand and public order.The ways of conflict resolution are mainly divided into two ways: children's self-solution and teachers' intervention.According to the research conclusions,the researchers analyzed and discussed five aspects including children,teachers,kindergartens,families and other five aspects,and finally put forward practical suggestions to teachers and kindergartens.Teachers should face up to the conflict and reflect on the reasons behind the conflict.Give children the opportunity and space to solve their problems;Caring for young children while handling conflicts fairly;Create a relaxed and harmonious class atmosphere.Kindergartens should promote the professional growth of teachers and cooperate with the family.The final content is the reflection and prospect of the research.
