Biology is a science that focuses on reasearches into the phenomena of life and the laws of life activities.With the rapid development of biotechnology,society has put forward higher requirements for the relevant education."5E teaching mode" is a constructivist teaching mode developed by American Biology Curriculum Research(BSCS),which attracts great attention in the field of science education.Since the introduction of "5E teaching mode" into China,it has received a positive response from the majority of teachers.Based on whether "5E teaching mode" can improve students' experimental ability,the researcher combines the schools and disciplines he teaches,and puts forward the research into 5E teaching mode on the improvement of biological experimental ability,in order to provide some reference opinions for the experimental teaching of front-line teachers.In this study,having investigated the current situation of experimental teaching in our school,and through mastering the essence and connotation of "5E teaching mode",I compiled the biology experimental teaching plan of 5E teaching mode,and conducted a three-month teaching research on the biology experimental course in the first grade of our college.Class 1 and Class 2 of Senior One are 2 parallel classes,of which Class 1 of Senior One is the experimental class of this study.Class 2 of Senior One is the control class.The traditional teaching mode is applied in Class 2 Senior One.Spss software T is used to obtain quantitative effects.This study is divided into three stages,namely preparation,implementation and analysis.In this study,the experimental research method was employed in the study,and the research tools were mainly the test of "Experimental Ability Test Paper for Senior High School Students".Quantitative effects were obtained to determine whether the experimental ability of students was improved.Through the pre-test of Senior High School Students' Experimental Ability Test Paper,it is found that the experimental abilities of the students in the experimental class and the control class are similar and weak.I compiled the biology experiment teaching plan of 5E teaching mode in the experiment of No.1 compulsory Middle School of the People's Education Press.After3 months' practice of the control teaching,the post-test was carried out.Quantitative analysis shows that the experimental ability of the students in the control group and the experimental group has been improved,but the extent of improvement in the experimental class is greater than that in the control class,especially in the experimental class.In terms of "learning and understanding ability","application and practice ability","migration and innovation ability",the difference between the post-test and the pre-test is very significant.Data analysis shows that:(1)The "5E teaching mode" can be locally implemented in the biology experiment class of senior high school.(2)Compared with the traditional teaching mode,the 5E teaching mode is balanced in the first test and the second test group is superior to the control group.Therefore,the application of "5E teaching mode" in biology experiment teaching in senior high school can promote the development of students' experimental ability and cultivate practical talents needed in society better than traditional teaching mode.
