Achievement goal orientation is an individual's perception of the purpose or cause of an achievement activity,involving cognitive,emotional and behavioral components.It is generally divided into four categories: mastery avoidance goal,mastery approach goal,achievement avoidance goal and achievement approach goal.Achievement goal orientation is closely related to the behavioral relaxation,cognition and emotion related to the completion of related goals and tasks.Academic delay refers to the gap between learning task planning and implementation in students' learning process,which reflects the degree of learning delay.Academic delay is often the adverse reaction of individual learning,which is affected by the individual's cognition of learning,the concept of goals and the external environment.The psychological tendency of students to delay immediate gratification in pursuit of more meaningful or long-term academic goals is a manifestation of the self-regulating process.Previous studies have found that achievement goal orientation and academic delay satisfaction have significant effects on academic delay,and the effects of different types of achievement goal orientation are not completely consistent.In this study,the characteristics of achievement goal orientation,academic delay satisfaction and academic delay of middle school students and the possible influence of achievement goal orientation on the process of academic delay were investigated by using questionnaire.The research results show that:1.The achievement goal orientation questionnaire,the academic delay satisfaction scale and the Aitken academic delay scale have good reliability and validity,which can be applied to the assessment of relevant variables of domestic middle school students.2.There are gender and grade differences in middle school students' achievement goal orientation.Girls' mastery approach score is significantly higher than boys',while boys' achievement approach score is significantly higher than girls'.Students of grade one and grade two had significantly higher scores of mastery and avoidance goals than students of grade three,grade two and grade three.Students of grade three had significantly lower scores than students of grade one and grade one had significantly higher scores than students of grade three,grade two and grade three.In terms of mastery approach goal,grade one students are significantly higher than grade two,grade two and grade three students,grade one students are significantly higher than grade two,grade three,grade two and grade three students,grade two students are significantly lower than grade three students,grade three students are significantly lower than grade one students.On the approach to the target score,grade one students are significantly higher than grade two,grade two and grade three students,grade two students are also significantly lower than grade one students,the rest of the no significant difference.3.There is gender difference in middle school students' academic delay satisfaction,and girls' academic delay satisfaction ability is significantly higher than boys',but there is no grade difference.4.There is gender difference in the academic delay of middle school students.The degree of academic delay of male students is significantly higher than that of female students,but there is no grade difference.5.There is a significant positive correlation between achievement avoidance goal and academic delay,and a significant negative correlation between achievement approach goal and mastery approach goal and academic delay,but no significant correlation between mastery avoidance goal and academic delay.There was a significant negative correlation between mastery avoidance goal and achievement avoidance goal and academic delay satisfaction,and a significant positive correlation between mastery approach goal and achievement approach goal and academic delay satisfaction.There was a significant negative correlation between academic delay satisfaction and academic delay.6.Mastery approach goal,achievement approach goal,achievement delay satisfaction significantly negatively predicted academic delay,achievement avoidance goal significantly positively predicted academic delay.7.Academic delay in reaching goals,reaching the target of the achievement,achievement avoidance goal respectively and have played a mediating role between the relationship between academic procrastination,namely,master reaching target,reaching goals,achievement avoidance goal not only directly influences students' academic procrastination,also affected by academic delayed gratification and indirect effect.
