Physical self-esteem is a field of overall self-esteem.It reflects the individual's evaluation of himself and the satisfaction with different aspects of the body.Physical self-esteem is one of the important indicators to measure mental health.The development trend of physical self-esteem is rising steadily in childhood,and it is easy to fluctuate in adolescence,and the development speed of physical self-esteem is not uniform in gender differences,especially in adolescent girls,the change range of physical self-esteem level is greater than that of boys.The physical particularity of disabled students leads to poor psychological status than normal students,and the level of physical self-esteem is not optimistic compared with ordinary students.Physical health and mental health are important parts of special education.In view of the increasing mental health problems of disabled students,some studies show that physical exercise plays a positive role in improving the mental health of disabled students.In recent years,cheerleading has developed rapidly on campus.Its distinctive characteristics such as youth,team,fashion and vitality are very popular with the majority of students.This paper focuses on the mental health problems of disabled students,and takes dance cheerleading as an intervention means to explore the impact of dance cheerleading on the physical self-esteem of middle school students with physical disabilities in special education,so as to provide scientific exercise methods for promoting the physical and mental health of middle school students.This study mainly takes the methods of literature,experiment,questionnaire and mathematical statistics as the research methods.48 grade 19 disabled students were selected from Yunnan Huaxia special education school,including 24 computer classes as the experimental group and 24 e-commerce classes as the control group.The experimental group carried out the experimental intervention of dance cheerleading teaching,and the physical education class of the control group was taught normally,The experiment lasted for 16 weeks.Before the experiment,the level of physical self-esteem of disabled students and ordinary students was compared.It was found that the level of physical self-esteem of disabled students was lower than that of ordinary students.The scale was distributed before and after the experiment.The data of the experimental group and the control group were counted and compared from the overall level of physical self-esteem and five dimensions.The following conclusions were obtained:Conclusions:(1)dance cheerleading can improve the physical self-esteem level of disabled middle school students and promote the mental health of disabled middle school students.After 16 weeks of dance cheerleading teaching intervention,on the whole,the level of physical self-esteem of students in the experimental group is higher than that of students in the control group.Dance cheerleading has a great impact on the level of physical self-esteem of students in the experimental group,and can improve the level of physical self-esteem of physically disabled middle school students.From all dimensions,the four dimensions of physical self-worth,sports ability,physical attraction and physical quality are significantly improved,but they have no positive impact on the dimension of physical condition.(2)The influence of dance cheerleading on physical self-esteem of physically disabled students has different effects on gender differences,and the change of boys is greater than that of girls.The common point is that in the three dimensions of physical self-worth,physical quality and sports ability,boys and girls have a certain impact after the experiment,with positive correlation changes and obvious improvement.In the dimension of physical attractiveness,girls have no change after the experiment,and the influence is small;The effect is obvious for boys.The physical condition dimension of boys and girls has not changed,the impact is small,and the effect is not obvious.(3)Dance cheerleading has a significant effect on the physical self-esteem of students with low physical disability,but has little effect on students with high disability.From the comparison results of various degrees of disability before and after the experiment,the physical self-esteem level of students with physical disability of grade 3 increased the most.However,because the sample is too small after grouping according to the disability level,the experimental results will have some limitations.
