The students with learning difficulties are those who are healthy in body and mind and normal in intelligence,but their learning effect is low because of themselves,family,school and society,and their achievement is relatively backward.Poor students in geography refer to the students who have difficulty in accepting geography knowledge and have relatively poor geography achievement because of various factors.The theory of Multiple Intelligences was established by American psychologist Gardiner in 1983.He proposed that there are many forms of human intelligence,including linguistic intelligence,logical mathematical intelligence,spatial intelligence,physical movement intelligence,musical intelligence,interpersonal intelligence,introspective intelligence,observational intelligence,and existential intelligence.The individual intelligence combination is different,that is to say : there are prominent intelligence,and there are weak intelligence.Cultivating Students' multiple intelligences is beneficial to students' promotion,all-round development,the improvement of geography teachers' professional quality,educational ability,the promotion of new curriculum reform and quality-oriented education.Geography is the science of studying the elements of the earth's surface and their interrelationships.It has the characteristics of both the natural sciences and the humanities.The 2017 edition of the Geography Curriculum Standard for General High Schools specifically emphasizes that,high School Education should improve the basic quality of our citizens,focusing on the development of core literacy,so that students have a sense of social responsibility,and promote the comprehensive and individual development of students is promoted.The cultivation of the core qualities of geography curriculum,such as regional cognition,comprehensive thinking,practical ability of geography and harmonious view of Man and earth,needs to mobilize the students' intelligence in many aspects,which leads to the huge number of geography students in trouble and becomes a difficult problem for the first-line geography teachers.Under the background of putting forward the geographical core literacy,following the idea of educational equity,this paper takes the senior middle school students of Changzhi No.4 Middle School as the research object,and uses the methods of literature research,questionnaire,comparative analysis and case study.a survey was carried out on the multiple intelligences of the gifted and poor students of geography in different grades and genders,the relationship between multiple intelligences and academic achievement was analyzed,the transformation strategy of geography poor students based on Theory of multiple intelligences is discussed,the main conclusions are as follows:First,there is a positive correlation between multiple intelligences and students' academic achievements.The higher the intelligence level,the better the students' academic achievements;Second,on the whole,male students have some advantages in natural exploration intelligence and interpersonal communication intelligence,while female students have some advantages in language intelligence and self-examination intelligence;Third,the language intelligence of the three-year high school girls shows a downward trend,while that of the boys shows an upward trend;Fourth,mathematical logic and language intelligence have a greater impact on geography scores,and spatial intelligence and introspective intelligence are also important intelligence that affect geography scores;Fifth,teachers can help students with geography learning difficulties to understand the diversity of intelligence,by changing the evaluation methods and teaching strategies.Through the correct use of wrong questions,can effectively mobilize students' self-examination intelligence can be effectively mobilized.We can also use mind map cultivate students' mathematical logic intelligence,and use multimedia teaching rationally to develop students' spatial intelligence,thus improving students' geographical core literacy.
