As rightfully pointed out in “Outline of the National Medium and Long-term Program for Education Reform and Development”,it's essential to stick to the student-oriented,teacher-guided teaching approach, which helps give full play to the initiative of students and prioritize the healthy growth of students in all kinds of school work.Class culture construction is not only an integral part of class management, but also a means for the construction of class collective. The construction of class culture should mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of students to participate, and build a class culture recognized by all teachers and students, the process of which could bring enormous spiritual joy and satisfaction to students in return. The current study, through a thorough review of the literateurs on classroom culture construction both at home and abroad, clarified the progress and shortcomings of existing research and defined the concept of class culture construction and student participation. The researcher first selected representative class teachers from various districts in Hangzhou for an in-depth interview, and used grounded-theory of the three-level coding procedures to conceptually refine and logically construct the interview data, which resulted in a preliminary model of influencing factors for student participation.Secondly, descriptive statistics were presented and ANOVA analysis were conducted, which enable a deeper understanding of students' participation in class culture construction and their perception of class collective construction.Furthermore, based on the results of individual interviews and questionnaire analysis, factors that affect student participation from three dimensions were identified, namely, subject factors, institutional factors, and environmental factors.Reasons for the formation of each dimension and the impact on student participation behavior were also presented in depth. Finally, the researchers combine the above research conclusions and put forward countermeasures and suggestions for students to participate in the construction of class culture.
