With the in-depth implementation of "rejuvenating the country through science and education "policy,to highlight its strategic status in vocational development,vocational education has been included in "the 11thFive-Year Plan" development Planning throughout the country,the national higher vocational education has achieved significant development,and the construction of vocational colleges has been remarkably improved,too.It is most obvious to see the changes in the appearance of school images and the updates of education hardware.However,a large number of schools are mainly devoted to the technical level experience of reform,attaching importance to technical skills while neglecting culture,attaching importance to common features while neglecting characteristics,attaching importance to result requirements while ignoring spiritual melting, therefore,the college images appear invariably,which has resulted in great development limitations among teachers and students.Undoubtedly,the development of a school must need positive and uplifting cultures and images.For a school,the organizational culture doesn't mean an administrative method,from the deeper sense,it stands for the soul.The concept and value of a school will foster excellence in school faculty and dedication of working attitudes,Which will promote the school to develop in a sustainable way.Though the higher vocational colleges are facing good opportunities,meanwhile, they are influenced by the impact of various ideologies and cultures,the power tending to collapse the school organizations are more and more increasing.So,school cultures have played more obvious role in the process of school development.Based on corporate cultural theory,the organizational culture theories rose in the late 20th century,which is of important research value to apply them to educational management.It is helpful for us to understand the college organizational culture,so as to understand the school organizations and how to make them working effectively.The organizational culture of a school is created and accumulated in the process of long-term educational practice and various environmental elements, and their members must agree and adhere to such value systems as faith,value,assumption, expectations etc.The basic structure of an organizational culture includes:material culture,system culture and spiritual culture.Achieved by the joint efforts of all the staff members,the School culture, a school's overall state of civilization,includes material wealth,environmental resources,school awareness of the community group,school spirits and school codes a conducts.It is also the total accumulation of material and spiritual wealth.The school culture is equivalent to school organizational culture,and organizational image is the systematic performance of organizational culture.This thesis is based on studies on school organizational culture by using micro-way,taking Chongqing City Management College to be examined.Through the formation of school history and the status of investigations and studies,some initial thoughts on school organizational cultures and the building of organizational images have been proposed to provide a theoretical basis for the construction of school culture.Specifically,it will be done in the following two aspects:Firstly,a research on school history will start up to understand its cultural context.The school culture is never passive water and is accumulated gradually in the process of development.When ompared with some simple acts of graft in cultural construction,we ought to face up to school history,seek for its cultural development path and explore their cultural growth expenditure and trap their own cultural traditions.Secondly,On analyzing school cultures and school images consistently,we use such methods as literature,interview,observation,survey etc,to understand the status of school culture from the perspective of theory and practice,to explore the approaches and contents for school organizational culture and organizational construction.Based on understanding the organizational culture concept and functions,we introduce Corporation Identity System(CIS)theory,and illustrate the three aspects respectively:Mind Identity System(MIS),Behaviors Identity System(BIS),Visual Identity System(VIS),and we also make a systematic survey on the organizational culture and organizational image of Chongqing City Management College,then state their contents for school culture and school image construction.Many views and opinions of the leaders,colleges and alumni have been cited to enrich the connotation of cultural construction.In the course of study,I see the importance and effectiveness from the interview,and also experience and understand the limitations existed in our school culture shaping—of no integrity,no clear ideas,no outstanding characteristics,short of behavior and visual construction,short of the stamina for development.Higher vocational colleges take on such characteristics:higher,professional,practical and open.In the author's opinion,it is entirely consistent to enhance organizational cultures and shape school images.According to the four basic characteristics,the Chongqing City Management College will seize the good opportunity to develop vocational education.Through the planning and design of new campus environment in the University City,we will mine cultural sources by establishing various cultural symbols,we also will raise the aesthetic level of the faculty and the students by improving material culture,by strengthening the shaping of the school's visual culture;We will improve teacher-student mentality by cultivating a unique personality and good atmosphere,by shaping and spreading school heroes,by mining and refining the typical moving events of development of school history,by carrying out some characteristic activities,by upgrading the school system and behavior culture to enhance school cohesion.By targeted transformation and refining the existed cultures,by designing in line with our own characteristics including philosophy and culture full of traditional features and spirits of times.We will accurately position school development and personnel training objectives to improve school spiritual culture,to shape an image full of characteristics of school concept,and enhance core competitiveness of a school.
