The history of biological science reflects the rational thinking,research methods and practice of biologists under certain scientific,technological and social historical backgrounds.STS(Science Technology Society)education is a concrete way to cultivate students' life Science literacy.Its purpose is to combine students' understanding of nature with practical life.Therefore,STS education and teaching are permeated in the history of biological Science in high school,which is consistent with the purpose of STS teaching.The Curriculum Standard of Biology for Senior High School requires that students should be taught STS and pay attention to the study of the history of biological science.Starting from the four dimensions of life concept,scientific thinking,scientific inquiry and social responsibility of the core literacy of biology,based on constructivism teaching theory,humanistic theory,learning transfer theory and other basic theories,this paper selected two classes(6)and(14)of grade 2 in a middle school in Urumqi as research objects.The evaluation scale of biology learning interest and the questionnaire of STS education and history of biological science teaching were distributed to understand students' interest in biology knowledge and their understanding of STS education and history of biological science.At the same time,face-to-face interviews were conducted with four teachers of different ages on STS education and history of biological science teaching.In view of the problems existing in the survey of teachers and students,the paper puts forward the strategy of STS education infiltration in the history of high school biological science,and designs the educational content and carries out the teaching practice.The practical research results show that:(1)Through random interviews with a number of biology teachers of different teaching ages,it is found that implementing science history teaching and STS education in class has a great effect on improving students' disciplinary literacy.Teachers must actively study and explore science history knowledge and STS education content,so that students can learn and understand more science history content.Correctly understand the relationship between society,science and technology.(2)After the teaching practice,through the investigation of biological learning level evaluation scale,it was found that there were significant differences in the dimension of negative interest in biological learning(P<0.05);There were significant differences in the dimension of positive interest in biology learning(P<0.05),indicating that STS education had played a positive role in the history of biological science.There are significant differences in the degree of active learning,independent and inquiry learning,and attention to biological science.There was no significant difference in the knowledge of biological science(P>0.05).(3)through the questionnaire survey to the student to carry on the analysis,found that penetrate STS education in biological science in high school teaching practice,after changed the students attitude and views for biological sciences,improve the students for the attention and the participation of social activities of science and technology,guide the student to the future career development has also changed.(4)Through the teaching practice of STS education permeated in the history of biological science in high school,biology teaching in this research school can better implement the curriculum standards and give better play to the STS education concept,which provides some reference for front-line teachers.To sum up,STS education,which permeates the history of biological science in high school,can not only improve students' learning interest and attitude,but also improve students' biological science literacy,change their learning concept,and achieve the goal of "learning what I want to learn".
