| Function is one of the core concepts of middle school mathematics.It has many types,wide range,strong comprehensiveness,and runs through the entire middle school learning stage.Logarithmic function is an important basic elementary function defined by logarithmic operations.This new formal definition of abstract concept is often difficult for the first-year high school students in the learning process.Therefore,it is necessary to study how to fully understand the current learning situation of students,improve teaching in a targeted manner,enhance students’ confidence and initiative in learning logarithmic function,and better realize the teaching goal of logarithmic function in the new curriculum standard.This thesis is based on modern education theory,through literature analysis,questionnaire surveys,interviews and other methods to study the current learning situation and teaching of logarithmic functions.Firstly,it summarizes recent domestic and foreign related literature from four aspects: the current situation of logarithmic function learning,the causes of learning disabilities,problem-solving skills,and teaching methods.Secondly,this study has collected data through questionnaire surveys and logarithmic function knowledge tests answered by the first-year high school students of three classes in a high school in Hunan Province and interviewing teachers,and then anlayses the results of the questionnaire survey by using SPSS software.Finally,through the analysis of the textbook of the logarithmic function part,combined with the questionnaire survey and teacher interviews,some teaching suggestions are put forward,and a teaching case about the concept and properties of logarithmic function is given.The main conclusions of this thesis are:(1)The vast majority of students can realize the importance of mathematics learning,but only some students feel interested in mathematics learning,and less than half of the students can take the initiative to seek help from teachers when they encounter difficulties in their studies.(2)Most students do not know enough about the knowledge value,cultural value,and application value of the logarithmic function.Nearly one-sixth of the students believe that the logarithmic function has no practical application in life.(3)Students often ignore the range of the base and the true number of the logarithmic function,and find it difficult to solve the problems related to the image and monotonicity of the logarithmic function.(4)The student’s ability to combine numbers and shapes and the ability to comprehensively use knowledge to solve problems are relatively weak.(5)It is recommended that in the teaching of logarithmic function,teachers reasonably create a knowledge context,pay attention to the teaching of basic knowledge,and cultivate students’ interests in learning,strengthen the comprehensive application of logarithmic function to improve students’ knowledge transfer abilities,pay attention to drawing training,guide students to comprehend the thinking methods of combining number and shape,and use information technology to assist with teaching to improve classroom teaching efficiency. |
