A Study On The Interaction Problems And Environmental Adjustment Of The Elderly In Pension Institutions ——Take H Welfare Institute As An Example

With the aging of the population and the increasingly severe situation of fewer children in China,the traditional family pension model is gradually weakened,and institutional pension has been the choice of more and more elder people.After the elderly enter the pension institution,their communication with the outside world decreases,and their contact with the elderly in the pension institutions deepens.However,due to the psychological sensitivity,the varieties in temper,and the specific collective norms of pension institutions,the elderly will inevitably face some challenges when getting along with others.For example,some elder people occasionally have conflicts with other elder people,and the elderly receive less interpersonal support from their colleagues in the pension institution.In this case,the elderly are prone to negative psychological emotions,which will affect their physical and mental health.Therefore,it is necessary to pay attention to the communication between the elderly in pension institutions,and deeply explore the multiple mechanisms of the problems to ensure the well-being of the elderly in pension institutions.The author takes the H welfare institute where the internship is located as the research field,and the elderly in the courtyard as the research object,using observation method and semi-structured interview method to explore and study the communication between the elderly in the pension institution.In the past,many studies focused on the elderly,and improved the interaction between the elderly in pension institutions by means of action research.However,from the perspective of ecological system theory,the interaction between the elderly in pension institutions is also deeply influenced by the environmental system.Therefore,the author attempts to examine the communication problem of the elderly in the pension institution from the perspective of environment,to probe the specific factors that affect communication in the habitat of the elderly,and then to explore the solutions to adjust the communication problem of the elderly from the perspective of environment.It is found that there are four communication problems among the elderly in the pension institution: the limitation of communication scope,the monotonicity of connection mode,the sporadic interpersonal conflict and the weakness of peer support.Through the attribution analysis of the physical environment and humanistic environment of the courtyard in the face of this problem,it is believed that the physical environment is attributed to: lack of temperature in decoration design,confusion of activity space function,simple and monotonous outdoor landscape;The humanistic environment is attributed to: over-protection of management mode,material tendency of service content,and dull and plain cultural atmosphere.Finally,according to the specific environmental attribution,the author puts forward the corresponding rationalization adjustment strategies,in order to provide diversified ideas for the improvement of the communication problems of the elderly in pension institutions,while improving the overall development of pension institutions,reducing the obstacles of institutional living environment to the elderly.
