With the aging of China's population,pension institutions have entered a rapid development track.In the new era,how to further improve the service quality and accelerate the reform and development of pension institutions has become an important issue in social work research.This study puts forward the concept of elderly leaders,starting from the service of the pension institutions and the actual needs of the elderly,to explore the way to improve the service level and service quality by establishing a good interaction between the pension institutionsand the elderly through the elderly leaders.This study takes D pension institution as an example to carry out empirical research.Based on combing the relevant literature of institutional pension,analyzes the service problems under the traditional management of D pension institution,and the solution of building a communication platform between institutions and the elderly through the development of elderly leaders.From the perspective of empowerment theory,this study explores the discovery and selection process of elderly leaders,the process and effect of ability cultivation of elderly leaders,as well as the impact of the role of the elderly leaders on the elderly institutions,the elderly and social workers.The following conclusions are drawn from the research,social workers play an important role in the ability cultivation of the elderly leaders.The promotion and maintenance of the influence of the elderly leaders is the key to establish and maintain a good relationship between pension institutions and the elderly.The promotion of the professional ability of the elderly leaders is the key to improve the quality and efficiency of communication between the elderly and pension institutions.The cultivation and development of the elderly leaders is conducive to the reform of the pension institutions.It also discusses the application of empowerment theory in the dominant groups and the representation of the elderly leaders.Finally,some suggestions are put forward.First of all,we should encourage the pension institutions to establish a good interactive relationship with the elderly by developing the elderly leaders,improve the quality and efficiency of social work services by using the elderly leaders to assist social workers,and promote the reformand development of the pension institutions.Secondly,we should promote the institutionalization of the elderly leaders while developing them,standardize the selection and exit mechanism of elderly leaders,and carry out all-round ability assessment.Finally,social workers should strengthen the ability cultivation of the elderly leaders,and carry out targeted training for the elderly leaders with different ability tendencies,so that the ability of the elderly leaders can be fully used in social work.
