As the first selective examination in students' life,the middle school entrance examination plays a vital role in students' learning career,therefore,there is no doubt about the importance of the middle school entrance examination questions,at the same time,under the background of the new curriculum reform,higher requirements are also put forward for the test questions of the middle school entrance examination,we should not only investigate the all-round development of students,but also strictly follow the requirements of the curriculum standards.Therefore,the analysis of chemistry test questions in middle school entrance examination is of great significance.This paper selects the chemistry questions of Hohhot middle school entrance examination from 2017 to 2021 as the research object,based on the classification theory of educational objectives,and use John Murdock's calculation method to calculate the depth and breadth of the test questions,and then compares them with the curriculum standards and the basic teaching requirements of the autonomous region,in order to explore the consistency of the three in depth and breadth,it can provide a reference for chemistry teaching in junior middle school and the ordering of chemistry test questions in senior high school entrance examination.Firstly,according to the classification theory of educational objectives,the requirements of curriculum standards are divided into levels and assigned values.the depth and breadth of curriculum standards are calculated by using the calculation method of John Murdock,and the results are analyzed to obtain the values and distribution characteristics of the depth and breadth of curriculum standards under five themes.Secondly,according to the classification and assignment method of curriculum standards,the basic requirements of chemistry teaching in compulsory education in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region are divided and assigned horizontally,similarly,John Murdock's calculation method is adopted to calculate its depth and breadth,and the calculation results are analyzed to obtain the depth value,breadth value and distribution characteristics under different topics.Thirdly,the knowledge points of chemistry test questions in Hohhot high school entrance examination from 2017 to 2021 are counted,after classifying and calculating the knowledge points,the depth and breadth of chemistry test questions in Hohhot high school entrance examination are obtained.Finally,the depth and breadth of the three are compared,and the following conclusions are drawn:(1)From the perspective of theme level,the depth of chemistry test questions in senior high school entrance examination has an upward trend year by year,but on the whole,it is still significantly less than the depth of curriculum standards and the basic requirements of subject teaching;From the perspective of learning objectives,the examination of cognitive learning objectives is the deepest,which is consistent with the curriculum standards and the basic requirements of subject teaching.(2)From the perspective of theme level,the distribution proportion of chemistry test questions in middle school entrance examination is the same as that of curriculum standards and basic requirements of subject teaching,but the breadth of test questions is still significantly lower than that of curriculum standards and basic requirements of teaching;From the level of learning objectives,the number of cognitive learning objectives is the largest.From the level of learning objectives,the number of knowledge points with level “2” is the largest,which is consistent with the curriculum standards and the basic requirements of subject teaching.(3)Looking at the chemistry test questions in the middle school entrance examination from 2017 to 2021,on the whole,there is a change trend of first falling and then rising in both depth and breadth,and the examination depth and breadth of students' emotional attitudes and values have increased significantly,indicating that the middle school entrance examination pays more and more attention to the examination of students' comprehensive development.In view of these,it is suggested that teachers should not only pay attention to the depth and breadth of knowledge points,but also grasp the control of teaching difficulties and give priority to the teaching of students' cognitive knowledge;It is suggested that the propositioner should reasonably improve the depth and breadth of the test questions when ordering the test questions,and increase the examination of the types of emotional attitude questions,so as to improve the quality of the chemistry test questions in the middle school entrance examination.
