The diversity of the teaching materials is an important task in the reformation of newcurriculum. Many publishing units and compiling groups compiled many sets of high schoolgeography teaching materials according to The New Curriculum Standards. Among these, theteaching materials of People’s Education Press, China Cartographic Publishing House, HunanEducation Publishing House and Shandong Education Publishing House have been passed whenfirst examined in2004. High school curriculum reform in Hebei Province began in September,2009. It mainly uses the teaching materials of Hunan Education Press and using this editionbrings about limitations for the work of high school geography teachers.This paper is aimed at providing reference materials for the high school geography teachers.Thus, the teachers in the curriculum reform experimental areas will be able to consult and learnfrom other teaching materials when using one edition. At the same time, teachers can selectteaching and learning materials through this paper.This Paper consists of five parts:Part ⅠIntroduction: This part mainly introduces the background and significance of thispaper, analyze the research status in and around our country with the help of a large number ofdocuments and thus to determine the main objectives and research methods of this paper.PartⅡ includes study to four editions of high school geographic teaching materials Module1. The comparative study in developing students’ abilities including compiling system,structural system, cases leads teachers to use the teaching materials efficiently and scientifically.PartⅢ study Module1of high school geography books with the way of optimizedintegration and put forward principles and implementation methods.PartⅣ contains lessons about optimized integration in the teaching process.PartⅤ is the conclusion of this paper, it noted the outlook on this subject.
