At present,physics teachers are faced with the conflict between the traditional physics teaching methods and the requirements of the national curriculum reform to cultivate students ' physical core literacy,as well as the pressure of the new college entrance examination policy that has been implemented in many places,which urgently requires the change of teachers 'teaching methods and teaching focus.The emergence of the UbD mode provides a reference for physics teachers to achieve the transformation.This teaching mode makes teachers paying more attention to students as the main body,emphasizing to cultivate students' abilities of thinking,knowledge transfer and question innovation.There is little experience in the application of the UbD mode in physics teaching in China.How to apply the UbD mode to high school physics teaching and maximize the advantages of the UbD mode is worthy of further study in line with the current high school physics teaching.Based on the research status of UbD mode at home and abroad,the theoretical basis involved in the application of UbD mode was firstly explored.Through the questionnaire,the current situation of high school students' physics learning was acquired to analyze the feasibility of applying the UbD mode to high school physics teaching,which can provide reference for subsequent research.Secondly,the UbD theory and its practical strategies combined with the current situation of high school physics teaching was explored,which can lay the foundation for subsequent application research.Through the analysis of the students' learning situation and the content of the high school physics compulsory one teaching material,the unit of "description of movement" was selected as the practice case,and the teaching case was designed and implemented according to the steps of UbD mode "expected results-specified evaluation methods-design teaching activities".Through the comparative analysis of the test scores of the experimental class and the control class and the statistical analysis of the questionnaire survey of the experimental class,the research results of the application of UbD mode in high school physics teaching were obtained.The results showed that there were some differences between the average scores of the experimental class and the control class,and the experimental class was slightly higher than the control class.The questionnaire survey results of the experimental class showed that 86 % of the students preferred the UbD teaching mode compared with the past teaching methods,and also had a high degree of acceptance of the UbD mode.Compared with the previous investigation on the current situation of physics learning,students' capacity to define learning objectives,the ability to master and transfer the application of physical knowledge and the classroom participation have been improved to a certain extent.The students' ability of independent inquiry learning,self summary and reflection also has been improved.It showed that the application of UbD teaching mode in high school physics teaching has certain feasibility,which can achieve better teaching effect and cultivate students ' comprehensive quality and ability.
