Among the core literacy proposed by "General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition)",mathematical modeling literacy occupies a very important position. This research was carried out in order to let frontline teachers realize the importance of mathematical modeling in mathematics and understand some teaching strategies and cases. This research first used the form of questionnaire to understand the status quo of mathematical modeling of high school students.Based on the analysis and sorting of relevant data, five strategies suitable for the development of mathematical modeling for high school students were formulated in combination with the actual situation. After the analysis and sorting of textbooks and curriculum standards, the teaching case was designed from three aspects: function, statistical probability, and geometry. After that, empirical research was carried out,and the frontline teachers carried out teaching practice based on the above-mentioned research results.Through the analysis of the results, the following conclusions were drawn:(1)This article proposes five teaching strategies for mathematical modeling based on the new curriculum standards and teaching materials. That is,to cultivate students' habit of observing life from the perspective of mathematics, make full use of “situations and problems”to establish mathematical situations in the course of teaching, pay attention to applied problems in example exercises, explain and discuss typical mathematical modeling problems, and encourage students to make innovations, exchange and discuss modeling cases.(2)Through empirical research on some senior second-year students,it is found that mathematical modeling teaching through the above teaching strategies has significantly improved students' interest towards mathematical modeling and their ability to mathematical modeling.Students are more willing to participate in mathematical modeling classes, can actively exchange mathematical modeling knowledge and gains with classmates, pay more attention to the actual background of mathematical knowledge, and establish a correct view of mathematical learning.
