Music appreciation plays an irreplaceable role in the development of children's emotional understanding.Through the review of previous literature,it is found that at present,most children's emotional understanding ability is cultivated through reading emotional picture books or role-playing activities,while the emotional education function of music is neglected.Therefore,thematic music appreciation activities are carried out to cultivate children's emotional understanding ability.This research adopts the experimental method and observation method,firstly,a public school in Tianjin's two student in kindergarten as the research object,each 30 infants,early test emotional understanding ability,to the test results show that the two classes in children emotion understanding ability had no significant difference on the dimensions,can be the next activity intervention;Then the experimental group of children for ten weeks of thematic music appreciation activity intervention,the control group of children without any treatment,after the end of the intervention on the two groups of children's emotional understanding ability later test,data analysis before and after the test results,explore the reasons for the change of data,conclusions;Finally,some suggestions on how to cultivate middle class children's emotional understanding ability through thematic music appreciation activities are put forward.The results show that after the intervention of thematic music appreciation activities,there are significant differences in the pro-test and post-test scores of children in the experimental group in six aspects: emotional recognition and expression ability,desire based emotional understanding ability,belief based emotional understanding ability,understanding ability of emotional regulation possibility,understanding ability based on emotional clues and mixed emotional understanding ability,and there are also significant differences between the experimental group and the control group,That is,thematic music appreciation activities can significantly promote the above six abilities of middle school children.There was no significant difference in post test scores between the experimental group and the control group in terms of external emotional understanding ability and moral emotional understanding ability,but the average post-test score of children in the experimental group was slightly higher than that of children in the control group.Based on this result,this paper puts forward educational suggestions from three levels: kindergarten,teachers and parents.
