The research purpose of this study is to through the children appreciation of music works research the development characteristic of preschool children’s ability of music appreciation. The participants are from 90 children in a kindergarten in Dalian City, selected at random, big, in, small children each 30. This research mainly adopts the literature method, survey method and content analysis method, the survey method is the most main researchers in this study to collect information of a kind of method, combining with the data analysis and description of the phenomenon, from the children’s perceptions of the nature of emotion in music works ability, ability to the basic performance means feeling and memory ability of music to study the three aspects of the development of young children’s ability of music appreciation.Research results show that: 1. Early childhood music appreciation of the music with age increase, showing a significant age difference. 2. The young children’s perceptions of the nature of emotion in music works, works of music in the cheerful mood nature feel ability is higher, and during the period of 3 to 4 years old than the extent of ascension during 4 to 5 years old, the nature of the music works, sad mood in children feel ability is low. 3. The children in the aspect of basic performance means the feeling of the music works, the ability of the feelings of music works, tone and speed is higher than that of strength and tone perception. Including children’s ability to feel speed in 4-5 years no obvious promotion at this stage, and their abilities to the strength of feeling in 4-5 years old age stage is the fastest of ascension. 4. The children in the aspects of music memory, memory ability of children’s songs for children is higher than that of the rhythm of the memory ability. In addition, gilrs and boys are significantly different in music memory ability, girl of music memory capacity is higher than that of boys. Based on the above research results, researchers put forward help educators use music art appreciation to cultivate children’s music appreciation ability of four Suggestions, namely according to young children’s age characteristic and existing music experience to select the appropriate music to see the works; Should pay attention to cultivate children’s ability to feel music, enhance children’s emotion understanding of music works; Should pay attention to guide children to know and distinguish different music basic performance means; Should be combined with characteristics of young children’s age to help children improve corresponding music memory ability.
