This article is based on the comparison of the three volumes of "Junior Chinese Language" published by World Book Company in 1929 during the Republic of China,"Junior Chinese Language Reader" published by Zhonghua Book Company in 1933,and "Junior Middle School Chinese Language A Edition" published by the Seven Joint Supply Offices in 1946.Research on widely and influential Chinese textbooks.Through the curriculum standards followed by the textbooks at that time,the characteristics of the three textbooks in classical Chinese were explored,showing the style and appearance of the Chinese textbooks in the early Republic of China in different eras,under different curriculum standards and under different review methods,and summarizing their advantages and disadvantages for today's textbooks,especially in the selection of classical Chinese.Provide lessons for reference.The structure and content of this paper are as follows:The first part examines the background and basic information of the three Chinese textbooks.During the period of the Republic of China,the official will has always stipulated the selection standards of Chinese textbooks,and the selection of classical Chinese texts cannot jump out of this range.With the passage of time,on the one hand,the selection of Chinese language and literature in junior high school adheres to the standards of "easy" and "clear and easy",and on the other hand,it is gradually strengthened in ideology.The three Chinese textbooks selected in this paper are the representative of the classical Chinese and written texts of junior high school textbooks in the Republic of China.They have the characteristics of complete preservation,compilation by famous experts,high standardization,and strong exploration.continuation and difference.The second part mainly adopts the statistical analysis method to make statistics and explanations on the compilation of the classical Chinese texts of the three Chinese textbooks.In terms of arrangement,the three textbooks are arranged in a mixed manner,with themes as the unit.In terms of the age of the writers,in addition to the classic Eight Great Masters of the Tang and Song Dynasties,most of them were selected into the works of famous writers in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China,reflecting the characteristics of the times.In terms of style and content,it can be roughly divided into 6categories: philosophical and moral cultivation,natural travel notes,social and people's livelihood,historical biography,parting grief,and multicultural tolerance.The third part focuses on the comparison between the three teaching courses of the Republic of China and the unified edition junior middle school Chinese textbooks currently in use.Some of the classical Chinese used in the three textbooks of the Republic of China are still active in Chinese textbooks to this day,reflecting the historical process of text canonization.At the same time,many of the classical Chinese and prose they choose can reflect the concept of advancing with the times,express novel things in traditional forms,and have distinct characteristics of the times.However,it is undeniable that,subject to the cognitive level and political stance at the time,the three textbooks included too many articles with strong political or feudal colors,which affected the objectivity and classicity of textbooks.Its shortcomings and deficiencies should be correctly recognized.Starting from the teaching materials and teaching practice,according to the analysis and arrangement characteristics of classical Chinese text selection,combined with the ancient style characteristics of selected texts,the content of the textbook is recombined,the space for text interpretation is broadened,the teaching content of classical Chinese is determined,and feasible teaching reference is provided for teachers.
