Rural boarding schools is an important part of rural compulsory education and a powerful measure to promote rural education,promote basic education reform,accelerate educational modernization and ensure educational equity of rural students.At present,rural boarding schools are still a short board of education.To improve the level of rural boarding schools in an all-round way lies in improving the quality of rural teachers.As an important member of the teaching staff,the head teacher is not only the organizer,educator and leader of the class collective,but also the “Important others”of students’ growth,shouldering the heavy responsibility of students’ physical and mental health,it is also the backbone of education development and school management.Therefore,in order to revitalize the rural education,improve the head teacher’s leadership,promote the professional development of the head teacher is worth studying.Through literature research,it is found that the academic research on leadership mainly focuses on the leadership of principals and teachers,and less on the leadership of head teachers,especially in rural boarding schools.In this paper,based on the study of teacher leadership and head teacher leadership at home and abroad,research on the leadership of junior middle school head teachers in rural boarding schools.On the basis of collecting,sorting out,summarizing and analyzing the related research results,the theories of teacher’s professional development,distributed leadership and behavioral science management are used to support this research.This article takes the junior middle school students and the head teachers as the research object,has consulted the authoritative literature and combined the rural boarding school junior middle school head teacher’s characteristic,the questionnaire was designed from five dimensions: communication ability,organization ability,emotional cohesion,teaching ability and evaluation ability,and the investigation was carried out on the leadership status of the junior middle school teachers in rural boarding schools.Among them,647 valid questionnaires were collected from students and 121 from teachers,using Spss 23.O Software for the data processing,and interviews with the results of in-depth analysis of the survey.According to the analysis,it is found that there are some problems on the leadership of the head teachers in rural boarding schools,such as the lack of cognition of the leadership of the head teachers,poor communication and execution,the limited effectiveness of the organization,the lack of attention to the emotional cohesion and the poor output of the teaching ability.According to the above-mentioned problems,this paper analyzes the causes from the three levels of class teacher,school and society,and draws the conclusion that the autonomy of class teacher is not strong,it mainly includes the cognitive deviation of the head Teacher’s leadership,the lack of motivation of the head teacher’s professional development and the heavy task of the head teacher,the improper school management,it mainly includes the restriction of the traditional management model,the training content rarely involves the head teacher’s leadership and the head teacher’s evaluation mechanism is not perfect;.Based on this,put forward targeted solutions: First,to enhance the autonomy of the head teacher,the main measures are to enhance leadership awareness,improve leadership,strengthen multi-party interaction,improve communication skills,enrich class cultural activities,enhance the organizational capacity,enhance the charm of teachers personality,improve emotional cohesion.Second,strengthen school management,the main measures are to implement the “Distributed”management,perfect the training mechanism and perfect the evaluation system.Third,society’s strong support,the main measures are to formulate the policy of fostering head teacher’s leadership and to raise parents’ attention to education.Through the above three aspects to comprehensively and deeply improve the leadership of junior school head teachers in rural boarding schools,so as to revitalize rural education.
