The "Activity and Inquiry" unit is a new unit of the unified compilation of junior high school Chinese textbooks.Based on the unit compilation of "two-line organization",it aggregates similar literary styles and sets up four units of news,speech,poetry and drama,emphasizing practicality and comprehensiveness.In terms of teaching design,the traditional unit teaching method and the characteristics of the "Activity and Inquiry" unit are not highly compatible.In practical teaching,teachers either use single-article teaching or use traditional unit teaching,so that the advantages of the new unit cannot be highlighted.As a kind of teaching mode,Backward teaching design has been paid more and more attention since it was introduced into China,and its characteristics coincide with the "Activity and Inquiry" unit.Backward teaching Design based on the overall realization of unit group text teaching,interlocking procedures can avoid teachers missing activity tasks,diversified evaluation methods are more for teaching evaluation to provide a reference path,all these can improve the current "Activity and Inquiry" unit teaching problems to a certain extent.Therefore,the purpose of this study is how to solve the teaching problems of "Activity and Inquiry" unit under the guidance of Backward teaching Design and highlight the characteristics of the unit.This study consists of three parts: introduction,main body,and conclusion.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,current situation,object,significance,content and other aspects.The main part is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the basis of this study.It mainly analyzes the composition,characteristics and value of " Activity and Inquiry " unit from the perspective of unit.By analyzing the unit content,capturing the unit characteristics and exploring the unit value,we can clarify the research object.Then,taking the unit teaching mode as the breakthrough to explore the teaching method,the author finds that the common unit teaching mode is not completely consistent with the characteristics of the " Activity and Inquiry " unit,so it is necessary to explore a more suitable method for teaching.As a new model of unit teaching,Backward teaching Design can precisely adapt to the unit of " Activity and Inquiry " and establish the value of research and possible breakthrough path.The second chapter is the investigation and analysis of the current situation of "Activity and Inquiry" unit teaching.It investigates the teachers and students of Guilin middle school from two aspects of interview and questionnaire.It is found that there are some problems in the teaching of "Activity and Inquiry" unit,such as backward concept,deviation from goal,improper evaluation and lack of process,which points out the direction for how to optimize teaching.The third chapter,based on Backward teaching Design,expounds its characteristics,theoretical basis and operating procedures,and analyzes its suitability with "Activity and Inquiry" unit.Then,combined with the problems in the current situation of "Activity and Inquiry" unit teaching,this part summarizes the strategies of instructional design,so as to provide reference for teachers to use reverse instructional design.In chapter four,the first unit of the ninth grade volume of the unified edition of junior high school Chinese is taken as an example,and the teaching design is carried out in accordance with Backward teaching Design procedures and strategies,presenting a clear case.Then,this chapter interviews the front-line teachers to understand the teachers' real views on Backward teaching Design and design cases,and conducts teaching reflection.The last part is the conclusion,which is mainly a summary of this study,stating the conclusions,limitations and prospects for future work.
