In order to promote the implementation of STEAM education, all discipline education are exploring the teaching mode and path of integrating STEAM into their own disciplines, but they tend to pay attention to the integration of interdisciplinary theoretical knowledge and ignore the practical attribute in STEAM curriculum.Geography is a discipline with strong practicality which currently has few relevant studies on STEAM integrated curriculum design from the perspective of geography practice curriculum. This study takes the form of geography experimental teaching as the starting point, integrates the experimental courses across disciplines through the concept of STEAM integration, and constructs the feasible path of curriculum design. In this study, firstly, through the methods of questionnaire survey and statistical analysis, this paper investigates the current situation of high school geography teachers carrying out STEAM education, the feasibility identification of integrating geography experiment based on STEAM integration, analyzes the main problems that teachers need to face in practicing this kind of curriculum.Secondly, through literature review and content analysis, this paper fully analyzes the feasibility of using STEAM integrated curriculum to develop geography experimental curriculum, including the fit between STEAM and geography experimental curriculum, the correlation of subject teaching content, the disadvantages of traditional geography experiments and the advantages of using STEAM integrated experimental curriculum. Finally, through literature research, case study and questionnaire survey results, this paper puts forward the feasible path model diagram of integrating geography experimental course based on STEAM integration, analyzes its link process and provides operable case demonstration.Ultimately, the following conclusions are drawn:Firstly, from the results of the questionnaire, geography teachers rarely carry out or use STEAM in actual teaching. Most geography teachers' understanding of STEAM is limited to the theoretical level, ignoring its practical attribute. They agree with the feasibility of integrating geography experiment courses based on STEAM.They believe that this kind of courses have certain innovation and unique teaching function. However, there is a lack of relevant curriculum design ideas and teaching design mode guidance.Secondly,it is feasible to integrate geographic experiments based on STEAM integration. Both concepts have significant practical attributes in the nature of the curriculum.Engineering and technical elements play an important role in both curriculums. At the same time, the content of geography contains rich STEAM elements.Through the analysis of STEAM elements in geography experiment, this paper proves the advantages of using STEAM integration to reform and innovate the curriculum model of geography experiment.Thirdly,a feasible path map of integrating geography experiment curriculum model based on STEAM integration is constructed, which includes three subjects: problem discrimination, experiment loop design and teaching evaluation.Problem discrimination includes four steps:starting from requirements, based on standards, brainstorming and generating problems. The experimental loop design includes three links: experimental conception, inquiry and test, and learning results.Teaching evaluation includes teaching effect evaluation, reflection and optimization.Taking the experimental activity column in the textbook as an example,a case course is constructed according to the link process of the path map.
