The information age has put forward a new development direction for the cultivation of talents,requiring the cultivation of comprehensive talents who can adapt to social development,and the traditional sub-subject teaching can no longer meet the requirements of society for basic education.The General High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)conforms to the needs of social development and advocates the integration of geography with other disciplines.The STEAM education concept conforms to the requirements of social development,pays attention to multidisciplinary integration,problem-based teaching takes problem solving as the goal,and uses multidisciplinary knowledge integration to solve problems in problem exploration,aiming to cultivate comprehensive talents.Therefore,the paper uses the literature research method,questionnaire survey method,case teaching method and experimental research method to sort out the relevant concepts of STEAM education concept and problem-based teaching and the current situation of domestic and foreign research,understand the current situation of the integration and application of the two in the middle school geography classroom,combine the high school geography teaching content,carry out the design and practice of high school geography problem teaching based on the STEAM education concept,and verify the practical effect of high school geography problem teaching based on steam education concept.The main findings of the study are as follows:(1)From the perspective of students and teachers,a questionnaire is used to investigate the current situation of STEAM education concept and problem-based teaching in secondary school geography teaching,and to understand the current situation of steam education concept and problembased teaching integration.The study found that:(1)teachers and students have a positive attitude towards problem-based teaching based on steam education concept,believing that in geography learning,it is necessary to use STEAM education concept to analyze and solve problems and enhance the cultivation of comprehensive thinking ability;(2)some teachers have a shallow understanding of STEAM education concept and it is difficult to effectively guide classroom integration teaching in practical teaching;(3)explore the main factors affecting STEAM education concept problembased teaching,including teachers' own lack of professional ability,teaching pressure,Schools do not pay enough attention to things,etc.(2)Based on the current situation of teaching research,the teaching principles and teaching steps are designed,namely the design of teaching activities,the preparation of teaching activities,the implementation of teaching activities,and the evaluation of teaching activities.On this basis,the high school geography problem teaching based on the STEAM education concept is carried out and implemented,the practical effect of the high school geography problem teaching based on the STEAM education concept is verified,and the problems existing in the geographical problem teaching process under the guidance of the STEAM education concept are proposed.(3)In view of the problems in problem-based teaching based on the STEAM education concept,the reasons for the analysis are carried out from the level of teachers,students and schools,the main reasons include:the teacher's understanding of the STEAM education concept is shallow,the development of STEAM curriculum resources is difficult,the class schedule is unreasonable,the students' thinking ability is limited,and the school teaching resources and equipment are insufficient.In order to solve the above problems,we can promote the perfect development of problembased teaching under the STEAM education concept by organizing relevant training on the STEAM education concept,reasonably arranging class hours to reduce teaching pressure,updating teaching resources to provide technical support,and selecting STEAM teaching content suitable for the current student development.With the theme of problem-based teaching based on STEAM education concept,this paper analyzes the connotation and interrelationship between STEAM education concept and problem-based teaching,and designs and implements practical teaching cases for geography teachers to carry out problem-based teaching practice activities based on STEAM education concepts,in order to provide reference and reference for front-line teachers to carry out problem-based teaching practice activities based on STEAM education concepts.
