Mathematics is the language of physics.It is generally believed that there is a positive correlation between students' physical performance and mathematics performance in middle school,but at the same time,some middle school students doubt this view from their own experience.Therefore,exploring the relationship between mathematics and physics in middle school is helpful to the development of the research and implementation of physics education in middle school.In the pre research stage,through sorting out the existing relevant literature and research results,and interviewing 70 front-line teachers,this paper collects and sorts out the views of academia and high school front-line education on the existence of negative transfer of mathematical thinking in physics learning and the causes of negative transfer.Based on the pre research,this paper combs the high school physics textbooks and the supporting knowledge of middle school mathematics,and puts forward some mathematical thinking that may have a negative transfer to physics learning.Based on the results of textbook analysis,the student questionnaire and teacher questionnaire are compiled to verify whether the mathematical thinking that may have negative transfer proposed in this paper will affect students' physics learning.Processing the data obtained from the questionnaire,we can have a more comprehensive understanding of the negative transfer of mathematical thinking in students' physics learning.The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1 The phenomenon of negative transfer of mathematical thinking to students' physics learning exists.2.The expression of mathematical forms applied in physics in mathematics textbooks is related to the negative transfer of students in physics learning.3.The negative transfer of mathematical thinking to physics learning is mainly reflected in integer and equation,function relationship,problem-solving skills and the significance of rational numbers.
