Mathematics and physics are two indispensable basic subjects,which must be mastered by high-quality talents in the future.In recent years,the physics college entrance examination has emphasized more on the students' abilities to apply mathematics to solve physical problems.As an important means of studying physics,mathematics not only provides physics with some basic concepts of physical quantities and expression equations of laws,but also provides calculation methods and practical operations for analyzing and solving specific physical problems.Therefore,the author thinks it necessary to deeply study the impact of mathematics on high school students' physics study.Basing on learning previous research results about the correlation between physics and mathematics,this article first from the contact theory of materialist dialectics,theory of migration and high school students' psychological characteristics,explore the mathematical and physical contact,from the perspective of high school students emphasized the importance of mathematical thoughts and methods in physics learning,then introduces the knowledge of physics involved in the high school physics teaching material,and in nearly nine years in the college entrance examination physics questions involving knowledge of mathematics and thought method,further emphasize the correlation of mathematics and physics.In order to make the article more convincing,the author uses the statistical software to analysis physics and mathematics achievements of students in regular classes,key classes and Orsay classes in two high school in Jiang Xi province.It shows that the positive correlation between the math and physics performance.Then,the author uses diagnostic test to understand the students ' situation on solving the problems by applying mathematical contents and the results of the correlation statistical analysis is not optimistic.It is concluded that it is difficult for students to use mathematical knowledge to solve physics problem because the mathematical knowledge of commonly used in physics is not clear,so this paper then introduces the high school physics commonly used some mathematical knowledge and the thought method,such as vector,a function,quadratic function,solution of equations,trigonometric functions and micro element method,limit method,geometric method and image method,analogy method,sequence,etc.It can be difficult for students in high school to use diagnostic test to solve physics problems.According to the analysis,the causes of this difficulty contain two levels.The first one is on the teachers' factors.The teacher cut off the connection between the two subjects unconsciously in teaching.Since the thought of clear division of labor was deeply rooted in the hearts of the people,like the math teacher taught mathematics and the physics teacher taught physics.secondly,throughout high school,there exists the negative transfer between students mathematics mind-set and the physical concept and other negatives,such as inequality relationship,functional relation,and limit method,etc.Finally,in the last section of this paper,the author summarizes the high school physics teaching in penetration of mathematical principles and strategies,as the example?the first class of the junior middle school students increased,It illustrates how to permeate mathematical knowledge in physics teaching.As a teacher,in the physics teaching,teacher should replenish the mathematical knowledge,in the teaching link,should have corresponding mathematical link as a bridge to help students to understand the physical problems,As a student,it is important to strengthen students' abilities of autonomous learning and cultivate students' ability of mathematical problem solving.
