The new round of curriculum reform emphasizes that students should play the main role in the teaching process and guide students to actively participate in the classroom.Music is responsible for providing students with aesthetic experience,cultivating sentiment,developing creative potential and improving creativity.Only by participating in music practice can students enrich relevant music experience,get artistic edification and master knowledge and skills.However,at present,students' participation in music classroom needs to be improved.As a part of classroom environmental factors,seat arrangement has an impact on participation,while there is a lack of research in music.Based on this,this study uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to explore the impact of music classroom seating on students' participation.Taking a class of students in the fourth grade of a primary school in Hangzhou as the research object(45 people),two groups of students were randomly selected,and the tracking objects were numbered for two weeks(4 class hours).Through video observation,music knowledge test,questionnaire and interview,we can understand the performance of students in the three dimensions of behavioral participation,cognitive participation and emotional participation,as well as the views of teachers and students on the impact of seats on participation,and provide opinions for students' music class.The main results are as follows:Changing the seat area of students in music class has a certain impact on students' "classroom participation".Especially for students' cognitive participation and emotional participation.Among them,in emotional participation,the sense of fun,achievement and boredom change greatly due to the change of seat area,and the sense of anxiety changes little.It is further confirmed that there are "activity area" and "public area" in the classroom,and the activity area has certain advantages in student participation.
