Geospatial thinking is the unique basic thinking quality of geography,and it is also the basic ability to perceive the geographical environment.To explore the influencing factors of geospatial thinking is a subject theoretical problem that needs to be solved urgently.Starting from the theoretical origin and teaching practice,three hypothetical influencing factors of spatial concept understanding and application ability,spatial tool application ability,and visual transformation tendency are proposed.Based on this,a questionnaire on influencing factors of geospatial thinking ability is compiled and revised,and the theoretical analysis is carried out.On the basis of,construct a hypothetical model of the influencing factors of high school students’ geospatial thinking ability.From Shanghai,Shandong Qingdao,Shandong Jinan,Guangdong Chaozhou,a middle-level high school students were selected as research samples,and the samples were measured using the revised geospatial thinking ability level measurement tool and influencing factor level measurement tool.Finally,valid data on the level of geospatial thinking and its influencing factors of 374 students were collected.Single-factor regression analysis was carried out on the data of the level of geospatial thinking ability and its influencing factors.The results indicated that the effect on the level of geospatial thinking was in the following order: ability to apply spatial tools > ability to understand and apply spatial concepts > visual transformation tendency;And use the Process plug-in to test the mediating effect of the influencing factor model.The model takes the ability to understand and apply spatial concepts as independent variables,the ability to apply spatial tools and visual transformation tendency as mediator variables,and the ability to think about geospatial space as the dependent variable.The test results verify that the hypothesis is true.The results show that the ability to understand spatial concepts can improve the geospatial thinking by applying spatial tools and visual transformation.Based on the mechanism model,three educational and teaching countermeasures are proposed,including: improving teaching tendency and guiding students to understand the concept and Knowledgeof geospatial;traditional integration and innovation,guiding students to use geospatial tools;focusing on image cognition,enhancing Students’ visual transformation tendency,etc.
