Empathy intervention has been widely applied in many fields.In the field of education,the theoretical research on empathy intervention and its application in moral education are also effective.However,there are few practical studies on the application of empathy intervention in specific disciplines to improve the sense of learning self-efficacy.Based on the hypothesis of empathy and altruism and emotion sharing theory,and combined with the characteristics of junior middle school students' physics learning,this study designed an empathy intervention program to improve their sense of self-efficacy in physics learning,and carried out practical teaching.In the process of empathy intervention,questionnaire survey was used to test the experimental class and control class before and after the implementation of empathy intervention,and the change of students' self-efficacy in physics learning and physics academic performance was analyzed.The results showed that the students in the experimental class and the control class encountered different degrees of learning difficulties in the process of learning,which hit the students' confidence in learning,while the girls' sense of self-doubt was stronger.The implementation of the intervention measures maintained students' learning confidence and effectively helped students to reduce self-doubt in the process of learning.The results of the study also showed that the students who received the intervention showed better persistence in subsequent learning and were better at maintaining good learning behavior.The intervention enhanced the learning confidence of the experimental class students,and weakened the need for self-affirmation from the recognition of others.Moreover,boys were more affected by the intervention than girls in terms of self-affirmation.However,the intervention showed no significant improvement in goal achievement,experimental efficacy,and interest in learning.In general,empathy intervention program is effective and feasible to improve students' sense of self-efficacy.The implementation of the intervention program also enables students to feel the teacher's attention to their physical and mental health,higher recognition of the teacher,more like the physics class,promoting the overall learning atmosphere of the class.
