Based on the knowledge background of organic chemistry in senior high school and the thought of advanced learning, this study evaluates and studies the inferential ability of students in organic chemistry.By referring to relevant literatures at home and abroad, and combing the texts of high school organic chemistry textbooks, curriculum standards, and examination questions,a six-level assessment framework for organic chemistry inference ability was constructed, and a tool for evaluating organic chemistry inference ability was developed for students in grade two and three.A total of 96 students from a key high school in Kunming,Yunnan province were selected for the test. After that,SPSS23.0 software was used to conduct multidimensional analysis on the data and case analysis based on student interviews, and the following research conclusions were drawn:(1)The ability of organic chemical inference of senior high school students is generally good, and most of them have reached Level 3 and level 4;(2)There was a significant difference in the ability of organic chemical inference among sophomores and sophomores. The average ability of organic chemical inference among sophomores was level 3 and level 4,and most of sophomores were level 5.(3)There were significant differences between male and female students in organic chemical inference ability, and male students were more dominant in organic chemical inference ability at higher level.(4)There was a significant positive correlation between the ability of organic chemical inference and academic level;(5)Through case analysis,it is found that the development of students' organic chemical inference ability is also affected by the students' growing environment, life experience, interests and hobbies.
