Research purpose: Through an 8-week swimming exercise intervention experiment,the effect of swimming exercise intervention on the physical health and exercise health beliefs of junior high school students was mainly discussed,and strong evidence was provided for swimming to improve the physical health and exercise health beliefs of junior high school students.Teachers and coaches of related training institutions enrich the means and methods in teaching and training to provide scientific theoretical reference.Research methods: This study uses literature,questionnaire,experiment and mathematical statistics as research methods,and uses some national students' physical health standards and exercise health belief scale as research tools to evaluate the physical quality and exercise health belief level of junior middle school students.Using the method of self registration,60 students who had not participated in swimming training in the second grade of a middle school in Huaibei were selected as the experimental research objects.The experimental group was divided into 30 people(15 boys and 15 girls)and the control group was divided into 30people(15 boys and 15 girls).The experimental group was intervened in swimming for 8 weeks,3 times a week and 60 minutes each time;The control group did not do any intervention.The physical quality and exercise health belief of the experimental group and the control group were measured in groups before and after the experimental intervention to test the effect of swimming on physical quality and exercise health belief.Research results:(1)There were significant differences in vital capacity,standing long jump,pull-up and 1000 m events in the male experimental group before and after the experiment(P < 0.01);There was significant difference in sitting forward flexion(P < 0.05);There was no significant difference in BMI and 50 m items(P > 0.05).There was no significant difference between before and after the experiment(P > 0.05);There were significant differences in BMI,vital capacity,standing long jump,sit ups,50 m and 800 m events(P < 0.01).? there was no significant difference in physical fitness indexes between boys and girls in the control group before and after the experimen(3)There was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in the pull-up and 1000 m items after the experiment(P < 0.01);There were significant differences in BMI,vital capacity,sitting forward flexion and standing long jump(P < 0.05);There was no significant difference in 50 m items(P > 0.05).After the experiment,there were significant differences between the two groups in standing long jump,sit ups,50 m and 800m(P < 0.01),BMI and vital capacity(P < 0.05);There was no significant difference in sitting forward flexion(P > 0.05).(4)The perceived obstacles and selfefficacy of the experimental group were significantly different before and after the experiment(P < 0.01);There were significant differences in perceived benefits,behavioral clues and disease severity(P < 0.05);There was no significant difference in disease susceptibility(P > 0.05).(5)There was no significant difference in the indexes of exercise health belief in the control group before and after the experiment.(6)after the experiment,there were significant differences in perceived obstacles and self-efficacy between the experimental group and the control group(P< 0.01);There were significant differences in perceived benefits,behavioral clues and disease severity(P < 0.05);There was no significant difference in disease susceptibility(P > 0.05).Research conclusion:(1)This experiment is designed to compare before and after the experimental group and before and after the control group to exclude the influence of irrelevant variables in the experiment on the experimental results.After the experiment,the comparison between the experimental group and the control group showed the effectiveness of the swimming intervention.It ultimately ensures the correctness of the experimental results.(2)8-week swimming exercise intervention can significantly improve the lung capacity,standing long jump,pull-up and long-distance running of boys in junior high school.It can improve girls' BMI,vital capacity,standing long jump,sit-ups,sprint,and long-distance running.There is a slight gender difference in the improvement effect of some items of physical health,which may be due to the low level of physical fitness before the experiment,and the effect is outstanding after swimming exercise.(3)The scores of exercise health belief test except "disease susceptibility" item have been significantly improved.This shows that 8 weeks of swimming exercise can improve the health belief level of junior high school students,and make them tend to develop a more optimistic and healthy exercise habit in their study and life.
