Since the“14th Five-Year Plan”period,our country’s tourism industry has been gradually moving towards a new stage of high-quality development,with reform and innovation as the driving force,with the goal of meeting mass tourism demand and building a modern tourism system.How to cultivate high-quality tourism talents who meet the development needs and have various abilities in the opportunity period of the transformation and upgrading of the tourism industry is one of the problems faced by the current tourism higher education.Deep learning is an important way to cultivate students’essential skills in the 21st century[1],and the level of deep learning reported by students is an effective indicator to measure the quality of education and teaching[2].Based on this situation,this study innovatively explores the influence paths and effects of student-faculty interaction and positive academic emotions on deep learning,constructs a model of the relationship between the three variables and puts forward research hypotheses,aims to improve the level of deep learning of tourism management undergraduates and improve their professional ability and core competitiveness.It takes student-faculty interaction as the independent variable,positive academic emotions as the mediating variable,and deep learning as the dependent variable based on a review of relevant literature.This study was carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey.Through a combination of online and offline methods,549 questionnaires were distributed to undergraduates majoring in tourism management in many universities across the country,and 500 valid questionnaires were returned.By using SPSS 25.0,AMOS 24.0 analysis software,and the Bootstrap method to empirically analyze the survey data,this study explores the relationship between student-faculty interaction,positive academic emotions,and deep learning,and tests the mediating effect of positive academic emotions.The following conclusions were drawn from the research:(1)Positive academic emotions play a mediating role in the impact of student-faculty interaction on deep learning.It shows that student-faculty interaction can directly affect deep learning,or indirectly affect deep learning by affecting positive academic emotions.(2)Student-faculty interaction significantly and positively affects positive academic emotions and deep learning;positive academic emotions significantly and positively affect deep learning.These results indicate that the improvement of student-faculty interaction level of tourism management majors and the mobilization of students’positive academic emotions are helpful to the improvement of students’deep learning levels.(3)At the overall level,the student-faculty interaction and students’deep learning level of tourism management majors need to be improved;In terms of differences,the level of student-faculty interaction,students’positive academic emotions and deep learning levels are affected by demographic variables such as students’major selection methods and grade.In view of the research results,this thesis puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to improve the current situation of student-faculty interaction in tourism management majors,mobilize students’positive academic emotions,enhance students’deep learning level,and afterwards promote the quality of tourism talents training.
