| Tourism plays an important role in the national economic development as a national strategic pillar industry.Although the discipline status of tourism management has been improved in recent years,it is found that the major satisfaction of students is generally not high.The purpose of this thesis is to identify the factors of major satisfaction of undergraduates in tourism management,and put forward effective strategies to improve the major satisfaction,so as to establish a solid foundation for training the high-quality tourism management undergraduates.What factors can affect the satisfaction?What are the key factors?What is the relationship among these factors?Based on the consideration about the above issues in depth,this paper carries on a thesis on the influence factors about major satisfaction of undergraduates in tourism management.The conclusions are as follows:Firstly,based on literature,interviews and questionnaires,the index system of influencing factors is constructed.This thesis has analyzed 28 indicators may have an impact on the major satisfaction through research the issue about the influencing factors,with the characteristics of tourism management specialty and the results of interviews with experts and students of the specialty which is based on collecting and sorting out relevant literature on customer satisfaction theory,total quality management theory,stakeholder theory,student satisfaction and professional satisfaction.In order to ensure the scientific of the influencing factors,an expert questionnaire was designed.The existing influencing factors were optimized by calculating the weights and scores of each factor.Finally,the major satisfaction image of undergraduate students majoring in tourism management was constructed with the secondary indicators of students’expectation and perception,professional teachers’ strength and level,professional curriculum setting,professional teaching assistant support and professional employment.Secondly,this thesis designs questionnaires and conduct empirical research to obtain first-hand data on major satisfaction of students majoring in tourism management.Based on the index system of influencing factors of major satisfaction,this study designed and developed a questionnaire of major satisfaction of undergraduates and distributed it to the students majoring irn tourism management,in order to obtain their most authentic feelings about tourism management.This thesis verifies the reliability and validity of the questionnaire.The results show that the questionnaire can truly reflect the current level of major satisfaction of undergraduates majoring in tourism management.Thirdly,this thesis identifies the key factors affecting with AHP-DEMATEL method.It first calculates the original weight of each influencing factor based on analytic hierarchy process,and then calculates the influencing degree,influencing degree,cause degree and centrality of each influencing factor with DEMATEL method,and calculates the influencing weight of each influencing factor on the basis of influencing degree and influencing degree.Finally,the AHP-DEMATEL evaluation model is used to calculate the comprehensive weight of each influencing factor by combining the analytic hierarchy process with the DEMATEL method.Based on the Pareto Optimum Principle,it finally identifies six key factors affecting the professional satisfaction of undergraduates majoring in tourism management:teachers,teaching level and ability,rationality of curriculum system,social demand for specialty,teaching content and methods,teaching attitude and professional ethics,and richness of curriculum content.Fourthly,it puts forward strategies to improve the major satisfaction of undergraduates majoring in tourism management effectively.The crux of affecting students’ major satisfaction has been found.In order to effectively improve the level of major satisfaction,this thesis proposes that it can improve teachers5 professional strength,strengthen teachers’ ethics,optimize teachers’ team construction,complete teachers’ access system,perfect curriculum system settings,enrich curriculum assessment methods,rationally arrange class hours,and enhance students^curriculum participation.To improve the major professional satisfaction of undergraduates majoring in tourism management,it should guide students to set up correct employment concepts,improve career planning guidance for undergraduates,and establish a tracking survey system for graduates’ employment. |
