For college students, they should not only pay attention to their course completion grades, but also consider the implicit or explicit "energy" that the course brings to them.Undergraduate teaching is not equal to undergraduate education. The inspection and measurement standards of teaching can be quantified, but education measurement cannot be simply quantified.Undergraduate education should be 1+1 greater than 2.For colleges and universities, testing the quality of college education should not only look at the annual graduation rate and annual employment rate, but should also pay attention to the long-term and comprehensive harvest of students.Student engagement affects learning outcomes,as does emotional intelligence level. As a postgraduate in tourism education, after half a year of practical teaching,I deeply realized that there are different degrees of problems in the professional education process. Therefore, taking undergraduates majoring in tourism management in local colleges and universities as the research object,to study the relationship between emotional intelligence, student participation and learning harvest is very important to analyze the current situation, problems and solutions of professional education. This study conducted a correlation analysis between emotional intelligence, student engagement, and learning gains through literature analysis.Resources storage theory, student engagement theory, constructionist theory and social influence theory are given, drawing on modifying related scholars to compile or translate scales, combined with professional reality,to discuss with mentors, teachers in this specialty and doctoral students in psychology, and to develop a tourism management undergraduate student engagement, emotional intelligence and learning and harvest scale.Collected to form the basis of data analysis, after pre-test testing and related analysis leads to the following conclusions:undergraduate student participation in tourism management professional is at a low level, emotional intelligence and learning gains are at a moderate level;Individual demographic background characteristics had significant levels of impact on student engagement, emotional intelligence, and learning gains;Student engagement, emotional intelligence positively influenced the learning harvest, and emotional intelligence influenced the learning harvest through student engagement. Finally, the following suggestions are made based on the empirical analysis of this thesis:to encourage students to participate in emotion experience activities and enhance their emotion perception ability;Open systematic emotional competence training to develop students' self-regulation skills;Integrate emotional intelligence teaching to improve the ability to regulate others' emotions;Raising the level of academic challenge;Achieving a reasonable increase in negative and enhanced level of active collaborative learning;Strengthening the student practitioner interaction level;Enriching student educational experiences;Creating a campus environment.
