Since 2001,the Ministry of education has carried out research and rectification on basic education courses,the education system across the country has been revising the education mode according to the regulations,the six reforms related to education are also gradually realized,and the primary school mathematics education is also trying to change the current situation of the disconnection between teaching knowledge and life reality.Many educational researchers have randomly shifted their attention from the explanation of mathematics teaching knowledge and the teaching of educational skills to the cultivation of pupils' mathematical thinking and the acquisition of experience from mathematics teaching activities.Students use the mathematical knowledge and principles studied by predecessors in books to explore problems and unknown phenomena in life and solve problems in real life.PBL has already formed a set of mature teaching methods abroad: in teaching,students plan and complete a series of tasks to finally achieve a goal or solve a problem,which is the project.In the process of completing the project,students combine their learned knowledge and practical experience to promote teamwork,and finally evaluate individuals and collectives.which is the essence of PBL.In this thesis,based on PBL theory at home and abroad,combined with the new curriculum standards and the learning situation of the fifth grade of primary school mathematics statistics and probability teaching to expand research.Carry out teaching control experiment,observe and discuss with excellent teachers,evaluate teaching,and put forward teaching suggestions.In the survey,we take class 1 and class 2 of grade 5 of Yangban primary school taught by the author as the research object.Combined with the characteristics of PBL,two different teaching designs of statistics and probability were carried out,so that students could experience the whole process of project selection,plan making,activity research,completion of works,achievement exchange,reflection and evaluation.Then through classroom observation,class tests,questionnaire survey,student interviews and teacher interviews and other methods of PBL learning effect is studied,through the comparison between the measured data,found that PBL learning helps to improve students' learning initiative,to improve students' ability to solve problems such as positive impact.However,due to primary school students' learning situation,teachers' unproficiency in using PBL theory in teaching and the high requirements of PBL theory on teachers' ability to control the classroom,there is still a great resistance to the implementation of the theory,which has great limitations in primary school mathematics classroom teaching.
