Educational games are usually games developed for specific educational purposes.Games are the means of education.Education is the purpose of games.Students can achieve their learning goals by participating in games.The physics curriculum standard of senior high school(2017 Edition)clearly puts forward: "through diversified teaching methods and the use of modern information technology,guide students to understand the essence of physics,understand the nature as a whole,form scientific thinking habits,and enhance the ability of scientific exploration and problem-solving." It can be seen that using modern information technology means to assist high school physics teaching is the general trend,and educational games just accord with this trend.They can be used as the carrier of the combination of modern information technology and basic education to assist the daily teaching of front-line high school physics teachers.The high school physics electromagnetism section accounts for the largest proportion of the knowledge points contained in high school physics.According to the2019 college entrance examination outline,there are 73 required knowledge points in high school physics,and 37 in electromagnetism;Among the required knowledge points,there are 29 knowledge points required by level II,including 14 in electromagnetics.The importance of electromagnetism is self-evident,but the score of students is not optimistic.How to break through the teaching difficulties of physical electromagnetism in senior high school and improve the teaching quality is worthy of in-depth analysis and exploration by more educational researchers.The purpose of this study is to design and develop an educational game for the difficulties of physics electromagnetics teaching in senior high school.Firstly,this paper arranges and analyzes the relevant literature on educational games at home and abroad,summarizes the research on the design,development and application of educational games in the field of education at home and abroad,focuses on the induction and analysis of middle school physics educational games,and briefly expounds the purpose,content and method of this research.Then it defines the three core concepts of this study,"educational games","teaching difficulties" and "high school physics core literacy".Taking 218 students and three physics teachers in grade two of a middle school in Kunming,Yunnan Province as the research object,the teaching difficulties and causes of high school physics electromagnetism are investigated in the form of questionnaires and interviews.According to the causes,based on constructivist learning theory,motivation theory and immersion theory,this paper puts forward the design strategy of educational games for the teaching difficulties of physics and electromagnetism in senior high school.Select the section of "the movement of charged particles in the magnetic field",which is more difficult in the survey results of teaching difficulties,as the educational content of the game,analyze the teaching difficulties of this section,and design and develop the educational game "smart snake" by using unity3 d game engine according to the design strategy of educational game.Finally,the teaching design corresponding to the developed educational games is compiled for the reference of educational researchers.Through the above research,it is known that the knowledge points of the physical electromagnetism section of senior high school can be closely combined with the content of educational games.While making up for the lack of experimental instruments in electromagnetism in some schools,it can stimulate students' interest in learning physical knowledge,assist teachers to break through teaching difficulties,and gradually cultivate students' core quality of physics in the process of students participating in educational games,It meets the requirements that the State advocates teachers to use modern information technology to assist education and teaching.
