In 1992,Deng Xiaoping's southern talk broke the traditional concept that "socialism is equal to planned economy and capitalism is equal to market economy".In the same year,the 14 th Communist Party of China National Congress clearly set the establishment of a "socialist market economic system" as the reform goal,and the reform of state-owned enterprises followed.In the early 1990 s,a "wave of laid-off workers" began to appear all over the country.In the previous planned economy period,a large number of "invisible unemployed" hidden in state-owned enterprises poured into the social labor market.Laid-off workers with the intention of reemployment began to look for new job opportunities for institutional channels and private relationship networks.In view of this phenomenon,most domestic scholars focus their attention on the policy research on the reemployment of laid-off workers in state-owned enterprises,and rarely make a qualitative analysis on the specific process of reemployment of laid-off workers in state-owned enterprises from the perspective of social support network.Taking Chongqing Jialing factory as an example,this paper conducted in-depth interviews with 32 laid-off workers of Jialing factory to understand their reemployment experience in detail.The reemployment of laid-off workers in Jialing factory mainly depends on personal social network relations.Because in the early1990 s,the national economic system was in the transition period,the planned economy had become the past,the market economic system was not yet fully mature,and a large number of surplus labor forces were "crowded" in the labor market.Without perfect policy support and institutional guarantee,laid-off workers could only rely on personal networks to solve the employment problem.Different from similar studies,this paper regards the process of finding a new job after laid-off workers in Jialing plant as a dynamic social fact.Through a detailed description of all kinds of reemployment related support for laid-off workers in the plant,this group of laid-off workers is placed in the social relationship network,and analyzes what specific help each support network provides in the reemployment process of laid-off workers,And how the help has played a positive role in getting new jobs.The full text of this study consists of introduction and five chapters.Each chapter is divided according to the relationship nature of social support network,and the chapter discusses the specific help provided by the object of support in the process of reemployment of laid-off workers.The introduction explains the reasons for choosing the topic,research methods and the existing relevant research and review.The first chapter introduces the basic situation of the employees of Jialing factory before being laid off,briefly explains the living conditions of the employees of Jialing factory before the reform of state-owned enterprises,and then discusses in detail the reemployment ways chosen by the employees of Jialing factory after being laid off,as well as the fields and effects of reemployment.The second chapter first introduce the composition of kinship support network,and then discusses in detail the "emotional support","economic support" and "post support" provided by each kinship member in this study when the laid-off workers look for a new job.The third chapter briefly explains the origin and composition of geographical relations,and then discusses the "information support" and "network support" provided by "neighborhood relations" and "hometown relations" in the process of laid-off workers' reemployment.The fourth chapter introduces the reemployment help provided by "classmate relationship" and "colleague relationship" in the industry relationship support network of laid-off workers.Similar to the previous chapter "geographical relationship support network",the help provided by industry relationship members for workers is also mainly reflected in "information support" and "network support".The fifth chapter makes a specific description of the reemployment support provided by the "interest relationship group" to the laid-off workers in the interest relationship support network,mainly including "emotional support" and "information support".Finally,in conclusion,this paper answers the specific help provided by various types of social support networks to the laid-off workers of Jialing factory,which types these helps can be divided into,and what role these help has played in the reemployment of workers.This study found that among the four types of social support networks of kinship,geography,industry and interest,the laid-off workers of Jialing factory are more inclined to seek help from the relatives,and compared with the other three types of networks,the relatives provide more instrumental support,such as "economic support" and "job support".Most of the employees interviewed said that relatives,as "their own people",have a relationship of "blood is thicker than water".They believe that they will be more reliable and trustworthy than "outsiders" such as classmates and friends,and will not be embarrassed to ask for help from relatives.It is natural for relatives to help each other.In addition,relatives also provide laid-off workers with spiritual support,which plays a role in calming and stabilizing their emotions when they feel anxious and depressed about losing their jobs.The support provided by industry and geographical relationship network includes "information support","network support" and "material support".Finally,the reemployment support provided by interest relationship network of laid-off workers is mainly manifested in "emotional support" and "information support".It is worth noting that the reason why interest relationship network can provide "emotional support" for laid-off workers is that many respondents believe that interest relationship members have no intersection with their daily life circle and are a group independent of daily life and work,such as card friends,dance friends.The only intersection between them and these interest relationship members is that they have the same interests and hobbies.They don't worry that their feelings or privacy will be leaked to familiar circles,which will have a negative impact on themselves.
