The Story Of Yanfan Street:A Study On The Social Trauma Of Laid-off Workers And Its Adaptation Strategy

In the early days of the People's Republic of China,in response to the call of the country to develop heavy industry,Northeast China became the largest heavy industry development base in China.Until the end of the 1980 s,with the gradual deepening of the reform of the national economic system,the voice of building a socialist market economic system became louder and louder.At the same time,The demand for investment in state-owned enterprises is also increasing,but the marginal efficiency of production is gradually declining,and it is difficult for the government to help state-owned enterprises through fatherly care.Since then,some factories have gone bankrupt.With the bankruptcy of the factory,a large number of laid-off workers came into being.For the laid-off workers,the attitude of most people is compassionate and helpless,and it is believed that the attitude of the laid-off workers is compassionate and helpless.Their experiences were bumpy but they were unable to find a suitable way to help them.But for these individuals who have really experienced layoffs,what does it mean to them? Does the impact of layoffs on them have a sustained effect? What kind of adaptive strategies do they adopt in the face of the negative effects of layoffs? These problems will be the focus of this paper.In order to understand these problems,the surrounding Yanfan Street in Tiexi District of Shenyang will be selected as the research place,and the individual life course will be combed through interviews.The social trauma and adaptability strategies of laid-off workers were analyzed and studied.As a group of small factories in Shenyang,the bright powder area,because of the size of the factory,the nature of the factory and other factors,even in the factory era is a region where the economy develops slowly,and when the laid-off wave is on,people in the bright powder area are laid off,not only facing the laid-off in the big background,The problem of unemployment and the difficulty of re-employment,and the high mortgage due to the return of the house,has been compounded by the laid-off workers in the area.For a small number of people with weak economic power and poor ability to resist the poor crisis and lack of sociological imagination,these small figures have their own in the face of the social trauma brought by the laid-off.Adaptive strategy: through fate arrangement and admit their own "no" way to explain the unsatisfactory places in their own life process,so as to reduce personal frustration and powerlessness;The value of life is reflected by paying too much attention to children's achievements and regarded as personal achievements,and the social risk is reduced by avoiding the establishment of new social relations and not actively maintaining the original social relations.From the point of view of individual development,these attitudes and achievements are obviously not healthy enough,but they can become a key link for laid-off workers to heal their own social trauma.
