| This study explores the current situation of junior high school students’ interest in physical education in Kunming,and analyses where the factors influencing the development of junior high school students’ interest in physical education in different urban areas,different genders and different grades lie,and then proposes countermeasures in a targeted manner in relation to the actual situation.The study aims to provide more theoretical references for the improvement of physical education teaching in junior high schools in Kunming and the reform of the 100 points of the Chinese physical education examination,so as to promote the interest of junior high school students in physical education in Kunming and to promote the development of physical health of young people in Kunming.In this study,1200 students in the first and second year of junior high school in10 schools(5 in the main urban area and 5 in the non-main urban area),namely,the16 th Middle School,the 12 th Middle School(Huanhu Campus),the 8th Middle School,Renze Middle School affiliated to Yunnan Normal University,Experimental Middle School of Yunnan Normal University,Chenggong No.1 Middle School,Jinning No.4 Middle School,Jinning No.6 Middle School,Bajiang Middle School and Lufu Middle School in Kunming,were used as the specific subjects of investigation.The main methods used were literature,questionnaires and mathematical statistics to study the current situation,influencing factors and countermeasures to cultivate the interest of junior high school students in physical education in Kunming.By means of linear regression analysis(setting dummy variables),the current characteristics of junior high school students’ interest in physical education in Kunming are investigated among different urban areas,genders and grades,and the influence of physical education environmental factors and individual factors on junior high school students’ interest in physical education in different urban areas,genders and grades respectively are examined by means of correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.The findings of this paper are as follows.(1)Middle school students’ interest in physical education learning was significantly higher in the main urban area of Kunming than in the non-main urban area;the differences were significant in the four sub-dimensions of situational interest arousal,situational interest maintenance,individual interest emergence and individual interest maturation.(2)Male junior high school students in Kunming have higher interest in physical education than female junior high school students;the differences are mainly in the three sub-dimensions of maintenance of situational interest,emergence of individual interest and maturity of individual interest.(3)The sports learning interest of grade one students in the new mode of physical education in the middle school entrance examination is higher than that of grade two students in the old mode,but the difference does not reach a significant level.(4)School sport environment,family sport environment and sport expectation value were the common significant influencing factors in the development of physical education learning interest among junior high school students in Kunming’s main urban area,non-main urban area,male,female,junior high level and junior high level two,and all three were the most important environmental and individual factors in each perspective.In response to the findings,the paper makes the following recommendations.(1)Strengthen the construction of teacher teams in non-main urban areas;broaden fund-raising channels to increase the maintenance and construction of school sports facilities in backward areas;cultivate creativity in physical education learning among junior high school students in non-main urban areas to improve their adaptability to the physical education environment.Make full use of the advantages of physical education resources in main urban areas to develop modular option curriculum models and additional campus physical education activities.(2)Improve female junior high school students’ knowledge of physical education and health,and ensure their daily participation in physical education.The use of "social communicative" psychology in teaching and learning will promote the diversification of male junior high school students’ physical education interests and increase the satisfaction of male junior high school students’ physical education needs.(3)Reduce the after-school learning pressure of junior middle school students under the new mode of physical education in the middle school entrance examination,and increase the time of physical activities.To guide junior high school students in the old mode of physical education to correctly perceive physical education in the secondary school entrance examination,to innovate teaching methods and means,and to emphasize the cultivation of healthy psychological qualities in order to alleviate students’ examination pressure and increase their interest in learning.(4)Strengthen the trinity support system of "home-school-society" to create a better environment for junior high school students to participate in sports in Kunming. |
