As the school physical education work is more and more valued by the country and society,in order to comprehensively improve and strengthen the school physical education work in the new era,the country has issued relevant policies,regulations and work opinions in recent years.In order to develop more suitable for students’ development of school PE curriculum,PE teaching ideas,teaching methods,teaching content are constantly updated.In addition to the innovation of local traditional teaching methods,there are a lot of successful practice experience of sports teaching theory in the world is also worth learning.This study sorted out the curriculum theory,connotation and curriculum model of American "concept physical education" and the connotation of Dewey activity center teaching theory,taking American "concept physical education" as the theoretical basis of physical education and Dewey activity center teaching theory as the theoretical basis of education.In the process of experimental teaching plan design,reference to the American "concept physical education" curriculum model,to promote the development of students as the center of teaching activities,design conducive to helping students to connect with life and enhance knowledge application ability of the teaching situation,help them to obtain the corresponding experience and knowledge,promote the overall development of students.This experiment takes two classes of grade 7 in Shanghai Changjiang No.2 Middle School as experimental objects to compare the teaching effects of two different teaching modes: traditional PE teaching design and conceptual PE teaching curriculum design for junior middle school.A total of four dimensions were selected for comparison,namely,sports health knowledge,sports expected value,sports situational interest and effective physical activity time in class.After data collection and analysis,the conclusions are as follows:According to the score of "Physical Education Knowledge Test paper" recovered after the experiment,the average score of the students in the experimental class is higher than that of the students in the control class,indicating that the PE and health knowledge teaching effect of junior middle school physical education curriculum design based on concept PE is better than that of traditional PE.2.After the experiment,the students’ interest level of sports situation in the experimental class was significantly improved,significantly higher than the control class students of the same level before the experiment,and there were extremely significant differences with the control class in the dimension of pleasure and challenge.It shows that the junior middle school physical education curriculum based on concept physical education can help to improve students’ interest in sports situation and achieve more obvious improvement effect in a short time compared with the traditional physical education teaching method.3.After the experiment,the expected value level of the students in the experimental class was greatly improved,and there were significant differences in the dimension of utilization value,expectation belief and interest value compared with that before the experiment,and significant differences in the dimension of expectation belief and utilization value between the students in the control class at the same level before the experiment.It shows that the curriculum design of junior middle school physical education based on concept physical education can promote the level of students’ expected value of physical education and achieve more significant positive effect than traditional physical education teaching methods in a short time.4.During the experiment,the METs of students in the experimental class were significantly higher than those in the control class with the same teaching conditions except for the mat movement and dribbling skills.The METs of students in the control class remained at the same level in learning other contents.And in all the teaching content,the physical activity level of the students in the two classes is medium intensity.The above shows that the junior middle school physical education curriculum design based on concept physical education will not reduce or weaken students’ physical activity time and intensity,they can maintain the same level.Based on the above conclusions,the following suggestions are put forward: 1)Pay attention to the completion of learning objectives in the cognitive domain in school physical education classes,and help students master the corresponding physical education health knowledge while learning motor skills;(2)Innovate the teaching design process and teaching methods of school PHYSICAL education curriculum to improve students’ participation and enthusiasm in class.(3)Optimize the teaching design of the curriculum to reasonably strengthen and improve students’ ability of independent learning and inquiry learning;(4)Increase the contact between physical education and other subjects,and pay attention to the actual life in the process of creating physical education classroom situation.
